MWC2013:Altar introduces Single Mode LTE NVidia Tegra 3 tablet reference platform.

Altair Semiconductor (http://www.altair-semi.com), the world's leading developer of high-performance, single-mode LTE chipsets, today announced that its chipset has been pre-integrated on the NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 tablet reference platform. The platform has been made available to Altair and NVIDIA customers as a reference for the development of single-mode LTE tablets, offering manufacturers a mature, high-performance and cost-effective solution.

Altair's Verizon-Certified FourGee-3100/6202 chipset offers single-mode LTE connectivity on both FDD and TDD variants across all 3GPP bands globally.

"As the industry continues its unabated move towards wide-scale adoption of 4G only devices, manufacturers are on the lookout for innovative LTE solutions to differentiate their product offering," said Eran Eshed, Co-Founder and VP of Marketing at Altair Semiconductor. "We look forward to continuing our close collaboration with NVIDIA and to bringing the 4G user experience to consumers around the world."

The explosion of data-centric devices such as mobile hotspots, Wi-Fi routers, USB dongles and M2M applications, combined with the massive expansion of 4G global coverage to the point of 3G parity, is driving strong carrier adoption of LTE powered devices which do not include 3G functionality. The combination of 3G's high cost, driven by extra silicon and heavy IP royalty toll, with narrow-band user experience, provides strong motivation to carriers and consumers alike to adopt LTE-only devices.

"By teaming Tegra 3 with Altair's LTE chipset, we can offer customers one of the most advanced solutions for LTE mobile devices," said Glenn Schuster, Director of Technical Marketing at NVIDIA. "We're looking forward to bringing more differentiated, LTE-enabled products to market."

About Altair Semiconductor
Altair Semiconductor is the world's leading developer of high performance, single-mode LTE semiconductors. Altair's chipsets can be found in approximately 50 end-user devices - ranging from USB dongles to smartphones - built by its more than 20 customers across North America, Europe, China, India and Taiwan - making it one of the only TDD/FDD LTE chipset manufacturers in the world with commercially available products. Altair's comprehensive product portfolio includes baseband processors, multi-band RF transceivers for both FDD and TDD bands, and a range of reference hardware and product level protocol stack software. Based on a novel, proprietary Software Defined Radio (SDR) processor, codenamed "O[2]P™", Altair's products are the smallest and most highly power optimized in the industry, offering an unmatched combination of flexibility and performance. MWC 2013: Streetline Named Best Mobile Innovation for 'Smart Cities' for Parker.

WorldWide Tech & Science. Francisco De Jesús.

MWC 2013: Streetline Named Best Mobile Innovation for 'Smart Cities' for Parker.

Streetline, Inc., a leading global provider of smart parking solutions for cities, universities, and private operators, today announced that the company's real-time parking guidance app Parker™ by Streetline was named 2013 Best Mobile Innovation for 'Smart Cities.' Winners of the 2013 Global Mobile Awards were announced today at the Mobile World Congress being held this week in Barcelona: http://www.mobileworldcongress.com/

Parker by Streetline makes finding and paying for parking easy. With the app, consumers can quickly view available parking options based on pricing, location, and/or real-time availability. When driving, the app is hands free for easy operation; it features voice guidance to provide an audible cue when available parking is nearby, and drivers may also place their smartphones on a car dashmount just as they would with a GPS system.

Real-time availability is provided via the company's patented smart parking platform that detects the presence of a car through a network of ultra-low power wireless sensors, as well as other sensing devices.

Telefonica and Streetline announced in last November that they will be jointly marketing and selling telematics-enabled smart parking services that allow cities to optimize parking management, while delivering higher quality of life to their citizens by reducing car traffic. Streetline will provide smart parking services, applications, and technical support, while Telefonica will contribute with its m2m platforms, financial services, commercial network, including pre- and post-sales support, and customer care. Everything will be deployed over the best in class global networks of Telefonica.

The Global Mobile Awards, which recognize excellence and innovation within the mobile communications industry, were presented today at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. To select the winners for the 2013 awards, more than 160 independent analysts, journalists, academics and subject matter experts throughout the world participated in the judging process.

"Over 30 locations worldwide are using sensor-enabled data through Parker by Streetline to guide drivers to open parking spaces and reduce negative societal impacts from circling the block in search of a spot, including traffic and emissions," said Zia Yusuf, president & CEO of Streetline. "We would like to thank the Global Mobile Award judges for this recognition. It is a tremendous honor to receive this prestigious award."

Parking Reinvented
Streetline's patented smart parking platform detects the presence of a car through a network of ultra-low power wireless sensors located in individual parking spaces. Data from these sensors, or from counting equipment installed in parking garages and lots, is then made available in real time via various cloud-based applications, such as Parker™, the leading mobile app for consumers, and – soon – in-car navigation systems. Earlier this year, Streetline introduced ParkerMap™, an embeddable widget that allows merchants, universities, cities, and parking providers to easily showcase nearby parking options via any website.

In addition to real-time data, Streetline also integrates garage data for over 23,000 locations.

MWC2013: Huawei Reveals the World’s Fastest 4G LTE Smartphone.

HUAWEI Ascend P2 breaks all records with its 150 Mbps download speed.

Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today introduced the HUAWEI Ascend P2, the world’s fastest smartphone, at the 2013 Mobile World Congress (MWC).

The Ascend P2 features a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and LTE Cat 4 providing an
ultrafast web experience with download speeds of up to 150 Mbps. Continuing the
fashion legacy of the Ascend P-series, it is only 8.4mm slim with an infinity edge 4.7-inch
IPS HD in-cell touch display with second-generation Corning® Gorilla® Glass, and will be
available in black and white.

“Ascend P2 is the perfect combination of elegance and power, and further proof that
there’s no need to compromise when desiring a perfect smartphone. It is evidence of the
outstanding smartphone experiences and great technology that we are committed to
bringing to consumers globally,” said Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business
Group.

The HUAWEI Ascend P2 will be on sale in France through Orange in June 2013.
“We’re pleased to be working with Huawei again to enable our customers to have easier
and faster access to all their favorite content,” said Yves Maitre, Senior Vice President,
Mobile Multimedia & Devices, Orange. “We are impressed by the design and look forward
to putting the Ascend P2 into the hands of consumers as soon as possible.”

“The technological capabilities of the HUAWEI Ascend P2 will enable our customers to
have the fastest access to all their content, with speeds up to 150 Mbps on our brand
new 4G network,” said Florence Paour, Device Marketing Director, Orange France.

The HUAWEI Ascend P2 runs on the Android 4.1 operating system, with Huawei’s own
Emotion UI 1.5. Powered by a 2420 mAh battery and 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, the
Ascend P2 downloads HD movies in minutes, and loads online videos, web pages, songs
or e-Books in seconds. Huawei’s proprietary ‘swift sharing’ supports uploads and
downloads two to three times faster than other smartphones in a Wi-Fi environment.

With its NFC module*, Ascend P2 enables e-payments and can act as an electronic ticket.

Huawei's unique Quick Power Control (QPC) and Automated Discontinuous Reception
(ADRX) power-saving technologies, reduces power consumption by 30% and charging
time by more than 25% compared to other smartphones.

Continuing the fashion focus of Huawei’s Ascend P smartphones, HUAWEI Ascend P2
evokes the image of an infinity pool with its seamless, elegant design and curvy contours.

Using in-cell technology, its LCD 4.7-inch IPS HD touchscreen is an impressive 8.4mm
slim. Its ‘magic touch’ feature provides enhanced screen responsiveness even with
gloves, and instant keyword translation and Wikipedia searches can now be done on a
single window with ‘smart reading’. The screen also calibrates its brightness
automatically under any light conditions, allowing users to perform any function, under
any light.

The HUAWEI Ascend P2 provides optimal photo and video features including a 13 MP BSI
rear-facing camera with HDR, and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera to support self-portrait
and video shooting. A dedicated camera key on the side of the phone also allows instant
access to picture taking, click once for the camera to be activated and another time to
take the shot. With Huawei’s advanced camera algorithm, high-definition images can be
captured even in backlit conditions. Auto adjustment modes further enable Ascend P2 to
produce photos that rival professional cameras.

The Huawei Emotion UI*, available on the Ascend P2 is easy to use and customize. The
UniHome function combines home panels with the main menu, while Huawei’s patent pending
functions you need in a single, customizable widget. Emotion UI is also pre-installed with
a smartphone housekeeper function to support real-time data traffic tracking, automatic
blacklisting and blocking, periodical system cleaning, and spontaneous exiting of idle
programs and cache cleanup, in addition to anti-virus, energy saving, privacy protection,
software management, and more.

The Ascend P2 will also be available globally around the second quarter of 2013.
*This function is available in selected markets only.
