You can ask the world to end your doubts and questions, but the answers to it all are within you.
You are the Answer.

Introducing a new generation of smartphones with the all-new Samsung GALAXY A.

It is stylishly crafted with a slim, full metal body. It gives you a true-to-life viewing experience with sAMOLED technology and is packed with a wide range of selfie functions to play with.

USA: Samsung Gear S standalone smartwatch coming Nov 7 to all major carriers.

The Samsung Gear S will be available at AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon in Nov 7. It will also be available at Samsung Experience Shops and Best Buy.

The Samsung Gear S is unique among other smartwatches on the market right now because it has standalone carrier network connectivity and 3G data, allowing the device to be used apart from your phone. This means you can make and receive phone calls and go online, all without needing your Samsung smartphone. However, you will still need your phone for OS updates to Tizen so it will not fully replace your smartphone.

With a 2-inch AMOLED display, the Samsung Gear S has more screen space and functionality than rival Android Wear devices. “Samsung continues to shape the wearable category with advanced technology and new experiences,” said Gregory Lee, president and CEO of Samsung Telecommunications America and Samsung Electronics North America Headquarters. “A growing developer ecosystem will further expand the capabilities of the Gear S with fitness tracking services like Nike+ Running and on-wrist turn-by-turn navigation from HERE and more.”
The Samsung Gear S allows users to view and reply to notifications, emails, messages and social networks. The main input methods of the Samsung Gear S are S Voice for voice commands and a full QWERTY keyboard. The Samsung Gear S has a number of sensors, most of the ones you would expect like a smartwatch like, an accelerometer, UV sensor, barometer, heart rate monitor, GPS and an IP67 rating for dust- and water-resistance.
When there is a paired phone, the Gear S features turn-by-turn navigation provided by HERE.
The Samsung Gear S release date will be a bit later on T-Mobile, you can get the device on Nov. 9 for $0 down and $14.58/month for 24 months. That’s $349.92, which is rather pricey for the device, though to make up for it T-Mobile will offer the device with a custom rate plan for the Samsung Gear S, for $5 a month you can have unlimited talk, unlimited text, unlimited data up to 500 MB, unlimited music streaming through Milk Music, unlimited data and text in 120 different countries with Simple Global. AT&T has a pre-order page for the Samsung Gear S, but no information about pricing or a custom rate plan so far.

IDC and Strategy Analytics coincide in Xiaomi as new number 3 in the smartphone worldwide market share 3Q 2014.

Xiaomi Mi4

Both statisticals  and research companies IDC and Strategy Analytics coincide giving XIAOMI from China the position number 3 in the worldwide smartphone market share for the 3Q 2014. We have posted both charts from both companies.

Despite Samsung did not grow and sold less devices for the 3Q 2014 ,stills in the 1st position.

Xiaomi Becomes World's 3rd Largest Smartphone Vendor in Q3 2014
According to the latest report from our WSS (Smartphones) research service, global smartphone shipments grew 27 percent annually to reach a record 320 million units in the third quarter of 2014. Xiaomi was the star performer, capturing a record 6 percent marketshare and becoming the world’s third largest smartphone vendor for the first time ever.
Global smartphone shipments grew 27 percent annually from 252.9 million units in Q3 2013 to a record 320.4 million in Q3 2014. Smartphone growth was mixed on a regional basis during the quarter, with healthy demand in Asia and Africa counterbalanced by sluggish volumes across North America and Europe due to ongoing changes in the operator subsidy mix.
Samsung shipped 79.2 million smartphones worldwide and captured 25 percent marketshare in Q3 2014, dipping from 35 percent a year earlier. Samsung continues to face tough competition from Apple at the higher-end of the smartphone market, from Xiaomi and Huawei in the middle-tiers, and from Lenovo and others at the entry-level. Samsung is aiming to fight back in the next quarter with fresh models such as the Galaxy Note Edge and Note 4.
Apple grew a below-average 16 percent annually and shipped 39.3 million iPhones worldwide for 12 percent marketshare in Q3 2014. Apple’s iPhone growth is slowing worldwide because of its limited presence in the fast-growing entry-level segment.
Xiaomi was the star performer in the quarter, capturing a record 6 percent marketshare and rising into third place in the global smartphone rankings for the first time ever. Xiaomi’s Android smartphone models are wildly popular in the Chinese market and it shifts millions of them every quarter through its extensive online and operator channels. Xiaomi’s next step is to target the international market in Asia and Europe, where it may face stronger headwinds of low brand awareness and technology-patent challenges next year.
LG shipped a record 16.8 million smartphones worldwide in Q3 2014, rising to fourth position and taking 5 percent global share. LG is performing relatively well in the United States and Europe, due to attractive new models such as the G3 and L series.
Huawei rounded out the top five players with 5 percent global smartphone share in the quarter. Huawei’s core strengths lie in emerging markets, such as Africa, China and Latin America, where it operates extensive distribution channels.
