China: ZTE $160 quad-core smartphone U950, announced.
Packing a 1.3GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor inside, the new handset
was announced for China at only 999 yuan (around $160 / €123), with
Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform loaded on it.
The smartphone also comes with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, 1GB of
RAM inside, 4GB of internal memory, a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the
back, and a front camera for making video calls while on the go.
The phone is 9mm thick, sports a 2,000 mAh battery inside, and is expected to arrive on shelves on November 11.
No details on its international availability have been provided at this time.
