Poland: Polish regulator plans MTR cuts

Polish telecoms regulator UKE is planning to cut mobile termination rates for operators in 2013, according to Reuters. The fees will be cut in two stages – 33 percent initially, followed by a further 52 percent – to appease operators that say they will be hit hard by the reductions.

The move mirrors a European effort to reduce mobile phone bills which has had a significant effect on operator revenue.
