Samsung Bendable smartphone model name SM-G888N0 certificate leaks.

Since Samsung exhibited for the first time its foldable display back then at CES 2013 as YOUM.  There have been other companies like Lenovo and LG which have exhibited their prototypes, but no one of them have make a commercial launch at this time just yet.

It seems to make such a device is not that easy.

But sometimes I believe Lenovo and LG are waiting for Samsung launch of the bendable smartphone first, then to come out with theirs.

Besides the comment below made by Koh Dong-jin, President of mobile business at Samsung electronics:

Koh Dong-jin, president of mobile business at Samsung Electronics, said the company is setting its eyes on 2018 to release a smartphone with a bendable display. But he said there are several hurdles it has to overcome, leaving room to push back the release if those problems are not solved.
“As the head of the business, I can say our current goal is next year,” he told reporters. “When we can overcome some problems for sure, we will launch the product.”
I think Samsung is getting ready for a real launch in 2018, CES or MWC, that have to be confirmed officially .

Meanwhile  letsgodigital site has found on NRRA National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) of the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) from South Korea a certificate for a Equipment of radio equipment for LTE mobile communication (transceiver of land mobile station) model name SM-G888N0 with the certification number MSIP-CMM-SEC-SMG888N0 for Samsung Electronics, certification dated September 21st,2017.

Before pictures of the bendable smartphone were leaked or posted with patent applications by Samsung:

Is Samsung going to start launching this version of bendable smartphone instead of launching the other version of foldable smartphone to tablet (smartlet)  in 2018?

Apple`s iPhone X sensing technology to ramp up demand of Qualcomm and Himax Technologies suppliers.

A number of new features that come along with Apple's newly released iPhone X such as 3D sensing are likely to become new standards for next-generation smartphones launched by Android-based smartphone vendors, industry analysts say.

The maturing 3D sensing technology and related applications that enables facial recognition, creates 3D emojis and performs augmented reality (AR) experiences will prompt Android phone makers to follow suit.

Major players in the Android camp, including Samsung Electronics and Huawei, certainly will jump onto the bandwagon, noted the sources, adding that demand for 3D sensor modules is likely to experience an explosive growth in 2018-2019.

3D sensor chips suppliers including Qualcomm and Himax Technologies will benefit significantly from the emerging trend.

While wireless charging is not a new technology or feature for smartphones, the support of Wireless Power Consortium's Qi standards by iPhone X and iPhone 8 devices will promote further adoption and development of wireless charging technology.

In addition to AirPower, an Apple-designed wireless charging accessory coming in 2018, third-party wireless charging devices will be also allowed to charge up iPhone devices, which in turn will encourage IC-design houses to develop diverse chips for wireless charging.

Taiwan-based chipset suppliers such as MediaTek and Richtek Technology will be able to ramp up their shipments of wireless charging chips along with the ongoing development.

Global shipments of wireless charging pads totaled 60-80 million in 2016 and are expected to grow by annual rate of 30% in the next few years, are estimated.

Nokia and Telefónica to define 5G network evolution with agreement to evaluate 4.5G Pro and 4.9G technologies.

Evaluation of technologies to provide the most effective path to 5G and enable Telefónica to create and deliver new services.

Trials of Nokia 4.5G, 4.5G Pro and 4.9G will help efficiently evolve network performance to meet increasing demand.

Focus on innovations including massive MIMO, Cloud RAN, Multi-access Edge Computing  and network slicing.

Nokia and Telefónica have signed an agreement to evaluate technologies enabling an efficient network evolution to 5G in line with Telefónica's business objectives. The companies will assess how higher performance 4G and 5G networks will lead to the creation of compelling new services.

Nokia has created a path to 5G for operators such as Telefónica using its 4.5G, 4.5G Pro and 4.9G technologies, which deliver advances such as increased speed, capacity and improved latency where and when needed. Under the agreement, Nokia will focus on trials that maximize the use of Telefónica's existing network assets, ultimately helping it meet the growing and evolving demands of individual subscribers and the internet of things (IoT).

Leveraging licensed and unlicensed spectrum as well as Nokia massive MIMO capabilities, the companies will conduct trials to increase capacity in busy city center hot spots as well as in suburban and rural areas, particularly in markets where traditional LTE spectrum is limited. Other trials will use Nokia Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) for the delivery of ultra-low latency communications. MEC allows data to be processed closer to the end-user to enable the faster network response time required by critical machine-to-machine type communications in enteprises such as factories and mines, and to deliver an immersive virtual reality video experience in stadiums.

Nokia and Telefónica will also investigate network slicing techniques on a cloud-native core network using Telefónica's UNICA cloud platform. This will allow Telefónica to leverage a common network infrastructure to deliver discrete services to a variety of new and exisiting customers. Telefónica established the UNICA program with the aim of using network functions virtualization and software defined networking to transform the way it delivers customer services, meeting new customer demands rapidly and in the most efficient way.

Enrique Blanco, Systems and Network Global Director at Telefónica said: "As demand rises, we want to deliver the greatest possible network experience even as we expand our offering to both existing and new customers. Working with Nokia we will explore the potential of key technologies that allow us to do this in the most effective way on the path to 5G."

Pedro Hernández, Vice President of Telefónica Global Business at Nokia, said: "Nokia has defined a comprehensive portfolio of technologies and services that will allow any operator to move to the cloud and 5G at a pace that meets their objectives and the demands of their customers. We are pleased to leverage these technologies and expertise to help Telefónica transform its network and evolve its service offer to anticipate and satisfy changing market demands."

YUMI robot conducts Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and the Lucca Philharmonic Orchestra.

YuMi, the world's first truly collaborative dual-arm robot, has made its debut at the opera by conducting Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and the Lucca Philharmonic Orchestra at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa.

ABB's YuMi was invited to the stage by Mr. Bocelli, who performed the famous aria "La Donna è Mobile" from Verdi's Rigoletto.

YuMi also conducted works of Puccini and Mascagni during its first night at the opera in front of a sold-out Teatro.

Among the guests was ABB CEO Ulrich Spiesshofer, under whose leadership YuMi was developed. The unique demonstration showed what can happen when advanced robotics meets the arts.
