Samsung said it sold 57 millions smartphones and not 54.2 millions in the April-June 2020 period. Samsung 20,26% market share, Huawei 19,84%, Apple 13,37%.

According to Yonhap News from Korea:  In a conference call Thursday, July 30, 2020, Samsung said it sold 57 million units of handsets in the April-June period, with smartphones accounting for around 95 percent of the total and not 54.2 million shipments, as IDC research firm reported, as you can read on our related before post here

IDC research firm has made some notes over their preliminary chart, as follows:

• Data are preliminary and subject to change.

  • Company shipments are branded device shipments and exclude OEM sales for all vendors.

  • The "Company" represents the current parent company (or holding company) for all brands owned and operated as a subsidiary.

  • Figures represent new shipments only and exclude refurbished units.
