USA: Verizon to sell the LG V50 ThinQ 5G smartphone this Thursday. Press Release.

LG Electronics Inc. said today it plans to release its V50 ThinQ in the United States this week with Verizon, its second American telecom partner for the 5G smartphone.
The V50 arrived in the U.S. market last month to become Sprint's first 5G phone and will go on sale under Verizon's mobile plan starting Thursday, according to the Korean electronics firm.

The V50 uses U.S. tech giant Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 855 chipset and its X50 5G modem.
LG's first 5G smartphone received a positive response in South Korea, selling about 260,000 units in the first month since its launch on May 10, according to the company.
LG's 5G push comes as it has been stepping up efforts to expand its market share in the U.S., which stood at 15 percent last year.

NEW YORK – The LG V50 ThinQ 5GTM is coming to Verizon starting June 20th , giving consumers and businesses the ability to harness the power of the Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband network to share, stream and download all the content they create and watch at wireless speeds previously unheard of. To make it even easier to get an LG V50 ThinQ 5G, for a limited time, we’re offering up to $650 off the smartphone2 and we’re waiving the monthly fee on our 5G Ultra Wideband network for customers on Beyond or Above Unlimited plans3.

Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband download games in seconds and whole seasons of your favorite TV show before you hop on a plane or quickly email large presentations to clients before a sales meeting.

And this is just the beginning. Verizon is building the future of mobile connectivity with 5G Ultra Wideband as it rolls out across the country. Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband is currently available in areas of Chicago and Minneapolis, and will be deployed in more than 30 U.S. cities in 2019, including: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des Moines, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Phoenix, Providence, San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Washington, DC1. Additional 5G Ultra Wideband cities will be announced later this year.

Not in a 5G Ultra Wideband market yet? No worries. When you move outside Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband coverage area, the LG V50 ThinQ 5G hands off the signal to Verizon’s 4G LTE network, and the nation’s most reliable network6, giving you the best of both worlds.
