HP new commercial showing an unknown new Tablet , Slate 3 with Windows 8 and Intel`s Ivy Bridge?

HP certainly is not coming with an ARM based Windows RT tablet but with an Intel Ivy Bridge 3rd Gen Windows 8 maybe for October 26,the Official Windows 8 General Availavilty date, a little before or a little after.

The tablet shows a metallic-looking body with a large black antenna window.

We have posted a sequence of 4 photos above where the tablet shows up along the video.

Intel Ivy Bridge i3 Core Processors To Launch June 24.

WorldWide Tech & Science. Francisco De Jesùs.

Intel Ivy Bridge i3 Core Processors To Launch June 24.

Citing sources from Intel’s offices in Taiwan, the reports allege that a June 24 launch date has been set for the chip maker’s new 22-nm i3 processors, which would make them available weeks before the originally speculated third-quarter launch.

The new i3 Core processors will be the lowest-end of the Ivy Bridge series and, as such, are poised to be used in notebooks and desktops that fall on the lower end of the price scale. Ivy Bridge-based i5 and i7 Core processors, which were launched in April, are being adopted primarily to fuel higher-end Ultrabooks, notebooks and convertible PC form factor from OEMs including Asus, Acer, Lenovo and HP  .

A report by PC World made note of two potential i3 models: the ultra low-power i3-3217U and the i3-3110M performing at 2.4 GHz. Both chips are expected to be dual-core, rather than quad-core like the i5 and i7 Ivy Bridge chips, since they are aimed at lower-end systems.

Tom Kilroy, senior vice president and general manager of sales at Intel, said at the Computex Taipei event this month that a new wave of Ivy Bridge i5- and i7-based Ultrabooks will hit this year, and that the new super-thin laptops will "raise the bar" compared to prior generations. The inclusion of Ivy Bridge alone, he said, will allow these next-gen Ultrabooks to deliver up to 20 percent better performance and up to 15 percent lower power consumption.

Kilroy said that more than 35 new Ultrabook systems are available now or will be within the next few weeks, with over 110 designs expected in the next year.

While the new i3 Core processors would most likely go into more traditional desktop and notebook PCs, they still stand to usher in a new era of modestly priced Ivy Bridge-based systems. Most of the Ultrabooks running on Intel’s i5 and i7 Ivy Bridge processors, which are just starting to make their debut on the U.S. market, tend to have price tags ranging from $800 to as high as $1,400.

Intel launches first chips of new generation. Code-named "Ivy Bridge"

Intel launches first chips of new generation. Code-named "Ivy Bridge"

NEW YORK (AP) — Intel Corp. said Monday that PCs with chips from its new generation of processors, featuring a revolutionary design, will be available this week.

The new generation, code-named "Ivy Bridge," is the first to be made with a 3-D structure. Miniature fins jut out of the plane of the chip, letting Intel cram more features into the same space. That means the chips can be faster while consuming less power.

Analysts have called it one of the most significant developments in silicon transistor design since the integrated circuit was invented in the 1950s. In terms of manufacturing technology, it puts Intel two to three years ahead of the competition, said Romit Shah at Nomura Securities.

The first chips off the production line are destined for powerful desktop computers. Intel hopes to have them in laptop computers in time for the "back to school" shopping season. CEO Paul Otellini said he expects "Ivy Bridge" to account for 50 percent of Intel processor shipments by the fall.

The "Ivy Bridge" chips are the first to be made with 22-nanometer-sized features, down from 32 nanometers. Smaller features mean more transistors, or working parts, can be squeezed into the same area. That means a chip can be smaller and faster.

The new chips also come with improved 3-D graphics performance, which could reduce the reliance on add-in graphics chips for gaming.

The launch of Ivy Bridge was delayed for about three weeks, Intel said, because it wanted to be sure it had enough units on hand for the launch.

Separately, the first phone with an Intel processor went on sale Monday in India. It's made by local phone manufacturer Lava International Ltd. Intel, which is based in Santa Clara, Calif., has also struck deals with Lenovo Corp. and Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. to have them make phones with Intel chips.

The phone chips aren't part of the Ivy Bridge generation, but they also demonstrate reductions in power consumption. Intel's chips are powerful compared to standard phone chips, but high battery drain has kept them out of phones until now.

Ultrabooks prices dropping. Second gen coming.

WorldWide Tech & Scince. Francisco De Jesús.

As ultrabooks from brand vendors such as Acer, Lenovo and Hewlett-Packard (HP) are all recently seeing price drops in the North America, sources from retail channel believe that the PC vendors are dropping their ultrabook prices to promote upcoming new ultrabook models, that are set to launch soon after Intel releases its new Ivy Bridge processors.

Acer's S3 ultrabook equipped with a hard disc drive has already seen its price drop to US$799 in North America, while Lenovo and HP's ultrabook prices also recently dropped 25% and 21%, respectively.

HP is already set to launch its new Ultrabook Envy Spectra 14 in Taiwan this week with Acer and Lenovo's new ultrabooks are set to release in the second quarter.

Although ultrabooks are unlikely to achieve Intel's goal of having a share of 40% in total notebook shipments by the end of 2012, as more new ultrabook products will appear in the retail channel, the average price should quickly drop to US$699-799 in the second quarter from the current US$1,000 price.
