Hybra plans to start selling the ORB (Orbital Ring Bluetooth) headset in 2016. Prices.

Finally after some years of waiting the Hybra Advance Technology Inc (HYBRATECH) is going to start selling the ORB Orbital Ring Bluetooth headset this year 2016.

The Orb (Orbital Ring Bluetooth) is both a ring, and a wireless bluetooth headset / earpiece. When not in use, the ORB bluetooth can be worn as a finger ring, and when you need to use it as an earpiece you simply twist it open and place it on your ear.

How Does the ORB Bluetooth Work?

The ORB Bluetooth headset works by using a new surface sound conducting technology that sends sound through the soft tissue on the back of the ear; this is actually a much more accurate way of hearing, and eliminates the discomfort of placing an earpiece inside the ear itself.

When wearing the ORB Bluetooth as a ring, it will vibrate if you get a call, event reminder, or text message. With the deluxe version, you can simply glance at your ring to see the incoming message or the phone number of the caller.

To accept the call, you simply twist the ORB open and slip it over the ear. To decline a call, you can slide your finger over the screen on the ORB Bluetooth device while it is still on your finger.

The base model will cost $229 and the deluxe models $275.

The deluxe edition includes a FOLED (Flexible Organic Light-Emitting Diode), screen that will give you caller ID and calendar reminders. The deluxe version is also planned to include voice to text ability, so that you can communicate easily without having to remove the ring from your finger.

When the ORB headset becomes available there will be many different sizes and styles to suit both men and women.

Limited-Edition, build to suit models will feature precious metals and decorative gemstones. The price of these will depend on the materials used.

Scientists Suggest: Extraterrestrial Orb Could Be A ‘Seed’ Sent By Aliens.

Could this tiny metallic orb, the latest extraterrestrial finding, be proof of life on other planets or does it reveal something far more sinister?

The Daily Express reports:
The never-before seen image shows a microscopic metal globe spewing out biological material feared to be an infectious agent.
Though the origin or purpose of the mysterious sphere is uncertain, experts say it could contain genetic material – the precursor to life.
They sensationally claim it could have been designed by an intelligent species to “seed” and propagate alien life on Earth.
It is the first time anything like this has been seen and points not only to the existence of extra-terrestrial life, but to complex and civilised beings watching our planet.
It follows findings that DNA capable of inserting itself into living creatures and replicating can exist in harsh space conditions.
A tiny ‘plasmid’, a circular strand of DNA used in genetic engineering, was sent into space from Sweden in 2011 on the exterior of a TEXUS-49 rocket.
After enduring 1,000C heat it was found to still be intact and with its biological properties when it returned to Earth.
Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe director of the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology at the University of Buckingham in England, said it is further proof of alien life.
However the latest finding, by Professor Milton Wainwright and his team from the University of Sheffield and the University of Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology, could reveal a much more sinister purpose.
Conjuring images as warned by H.G Wells in his 1898 novel War of the Worlds – it could have been deliberately engineered and sent to Earth to infect the planet.
Professor Wainwright said the structure is made from the metals titanium and vanadium with a “gooey” biological liquid oozing from its centre.
He said there are several theories as to where it came from, the first being it is a complete microorganism programmed to propagate alien life on Earth.
“It is a ball about the width of a human hair, which has filamentous life on the outside and a gooey biological material oozing from its centre,” he said.
“We were stunned when X-ray analysis showed that the sphere is made up mainly of titanium, with a trace of vanadium.
“One theory is it was sent to Earth by some unknown civilisation in order to continue seeding the planet with life.
“This seeming piece of science fiction, called “directed panspermia” would probably not be taken seriously by any scientist were it not for the fact that it was very seriously suggested by the Nobel Prize winner of DNA fame, Sir Francis Crick.
“Unless of course we can find details of the civilisation that is supposed to have sent it in this respect it is probably an unprovable theory.”
Professor Wainwright and his team found the object in dust and particulate matter collected from the stratosphere.
He sent balloons 27km into the sky to collect debris from space and isolated several particles he claims are proof of life in space.
It comes as the mysterious “ghost particle”, also found by Professor Wainwright was revealed and follows the revelation last year of the astonishing “Dragon Particle” the first of its kind to point towards proof of life in space.
Professor Wainwright said the curious orb landed on the sampler balloon it left a tiny impact crater proving it could not have gently fallen from close by.
He said: “On hitting the stratosphere sampler the sphere made an impact crater, a minute version of the huge impact crater on Earth caused by the asteroid said to have killed off the dinosaurs.
“This impact crater proves that the sphere was incoming to Earth from space, an organism coming from Earth would not be travelling fast enough when it fell back to Earth to cause such damage.
“This seems never before to have been found on Earth.”
He said one theory is the object was released deliberately to infect the human race with life-threatening diseases, another is that it travelled millions of miles on a comet.
He said: “For the moment, we are content to say that the life-containing titanium sphere came from space, possibly from a comet.
“NASA is currently sending a balloon into the stratosphere to look for life.
“Hopefully they will get the same results as we have, whether or not they acknowledge what the team have found, or claim the discovery for themselves remains to be seen.”
The findings come as scientists in the UK and Japan launch the ISPA (Institute for the Study of Panspermia and Astroeconomics) which seeks to prove life on Earth originated from Space.
Professor Wickramasinghe, director for research at the institute has long-maintained biological material including bacteria and viruses are constantly raining down from the skies.
He said: “Mainstream science and institutions have fought against theories which expound these beliefs but now evidence from meteorites, from samples of bacteria from space and from space observation is making resistance more difficult.
“Proving that the Earth is in a constant exchange of matter with the larger cosmos would have implications not only in terms of our identity, but could also give us insight into alien viruses which may be important for our group identity, evolution and survival itself.”

O.R.B a Compact Mobile Communication in a Wearable, Wireless Digiset. Transforms from a ring to a headset

Worldwide Tech &Science. Francisco De Jesus.

O.R.B a Compact Mobile Communication in a Wearable, Wireless Digiset. Transforms from a ring to a headset.

With a simple twist, The O.R.B. transforms from a ring to a headset worn on the ear that is capable of hands-free calling. Incorporating HiWave™ technology, the O.R.B. is a “Digitset™” that provides high-quality bone conduction audio without the discomfort of placing a device inside the ear. A deluxe edition also features an E Ink display for caller ID, text messaging, and calendar reminders.
To use the ring as a headset, simply remove it from the finger and twist open around the hinged joint. The ring (now a headset) is placed over the upper ear, between the ear and the side of the head. The transmitter end of the headset rests just above the jawbone and utilizes dual speaker “voice annihilation” DSP technology. The transmit exciter transducer rests just behind the outer ear.
The O.R.B. will be available in a variety of sizes, available in styles for both men and women. Stills under development by hybratech.

O.R.B. BT headset is scheduled to launch in 2nd Quarter 2011

The above video was made before in 2009, and  the release date is now for 2Q 2011.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What exactly is the O.R.B.? A ring or a headset?
A. Both, actually! The O.R.B. is a "digitset™" that transforms from a ring with a simple twist to become a headset worn on the ear that is capable of hands-free calling. Incorporating NXT technology the O.R.B. provides high quality bone conduction audio without the discomfort of placing a device inside the ear. A Deluxe edition also features an E-Ink display for caller ID, text messaging, and calendar reminders.

Q.How do I change it from my finger to my ear?
A. To use the ring as a headset, you simply remove it from the finger and open at a hinged joint. The ring (now headset) is placed over the upper ear between ear and side of head. The receiver end of the headset rests just above the jawbone and utilizes dual speaker "voice annihilation" DSP technology. The transmit exciter transducer rests just behind the outer ear.

Q.What kind of communications can I send/receive when the O.R.B. is in the "ring" position?
A. The ring vibrates, through surface excitation "vibration tones", to alert user a call is received or a meeting is scheduled. The user can glance down at the finger and see a horizontal streaming message of caller I.D. or meeting schedules. When not in use the ring serves as a time device/alarm clock. If the user would like to silence a call he/she can simply touch a button on the band.

Q. What are some of the additional uses for the charging base?
A. The home charging base has two options; a charger/storage location and/or amplified speaker for alarms and preplanned reminders synced through the O.R.B. to the attached handset. The user sets his or her mobile handset to desired wake time and places the ring on the charging base. When the ring is signaled to vibrate (same as meeting alert or incoming call) the amplified speaker is activated. The user can stop the alarm two ways. First, the user can pick the ring off the charging base and return it to the base to activate the snooze option and the user can completely remove the ring form the base to cancel the alarm. The base includes a wrap around blue LED light to indicate the ring is on the base and charging. The alarm speaker is located on the top surface of the charging post. Note the contact surfaces match the + and - charging surfaces on the ring.

Q. Is the O.R.B. waterproof?
A. Yes it is. The O.R.B. features military spec seals and gaskets.

Q. What are the specific ring sizes that are associated with the small, medium, large and extra large O.R.B. sizes?
A. The O.R.B. is available in both men's and women's sizes. The small fits ring sizes 4-6, the medium fits ring sizes 7-9,   the large fits ring sizes 10-12 and the extra large fits ring sizes 13-16.   All of the sizes have an expansion hinge, spring prongs and adjustable adhesive soft pads on the interior edge which lend to a secure and comfortable fit both on the finger/thumb as well as the ear.

Q.When is the official launch date for the O.R.B.? How much does it cost?
A. The base model O.R.B. is scheduled to launch in 2nd Quarter 2011 carrying a suggested retail price of USD$129, while the Deluxe edition at a price of USD$175. The Limited edition designer models will have their price based on the value of the gemstones incorporated into the device.

Q. Where will I be able to purchase one?
A. Distributers to be announced.
