As announced today at the UNPACKED 2017 event in New York where Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note8 , the company is going to unveil more products at the IFA 2017 Berlin in August 30,and one of these products will be a brand new smartwatch the Gear Fit 2 Pro
Pictures and price were captured by @evleaks from the Malaysian Samsung website which listed the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro in rich detail, including extensive specifications and from a retailer web page.
Some of the specifications leaked were:
Display 1.5in, 216 x 432 resolution AMOLED.
34g.
Fitness tracker, heart rate sensor , accelerometer, GPS chip, barometer to accurately measure the flights of stairs you climb or descend, for instance.
Waterproof up to a depth of 164 feet or 50 metres, apparently. ideal for swimming and diving. Wareable.com points out that there’s an app designed by Speedo to record statistics, which you can check out on the watch after you’ve finished. The app is made for Samsung’s dedicated Tizen operating software, the OS it favours for its wearables.
Since the Gear Fit2 had automatic exercise detection that knows when you’re working out, that will be here on the Gear Fit2 Pro as well.
Expect 4GB of storage, 500MB RAM and a 200mAh battery. This last, the Samsung specs page stated, should keep the watch running for three to four days, or up to nine hours if GPS is turned on.
