November 2013 updates

• Performance improvements for all Type Cover and Touch Cover versions.

You can  manually install updates:

Step 1:	Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and then tap or click Settings. (If you’re using a mouse, point to upper-right corner of screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Settings.)
Step 2:	Tap or click Change PC settings, and then tap or click Update and recovery.
Step 3:	Tap or click Check now.
Step 4:	If there are updates available, tap or click View details.
Step 5:	Tap or click to select the ones you want to install, and then tap or click Install. You may need to restart Surface after the updates have been installed.

Olympus XZ-2, Nikon Coolpix S800c and Leica S2 cameras new firmwares.

Olympus XZ-2 v1.1 corrects issues when shooting with ISO bracketing enabled. The firmware is available through Olympus' Digital Camera Updater application.

The Android-based Nikon Coolpix S800c compact, meanwhile, has now received its second firmware update, and two issues are corrected. With version 1.2 firmware installed, geotags recorded when GPS was enabled don't intermittently show the wrong location. Also, a curious problem whereby the date and time was recorded incorrectly for images shot between camera powerup and display of the Playback button has been resolved.

Leica S2 firmware v1.0.4.2 enables use of the camera body with S-mount lenses that have central shutters. It also readies the camera for with use with the Leica Super-Elmar-S 24 mm f/3.5 ASPH. and Leica Vario-Elmar-S 30-90 mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. lenses announced recently at Photokina, and prevents the camera overriding your chosen shutter speed when the metering system determines that you've exceeded the exposure range. The latest firmware also improves white balance in concert with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. To obtain the update, customers must first register their camera, and then log into the owners' area of the Leica website. More details here.
