LG will unveil what  calls the largest curved OLED Ultra HD set, which at 77 inches also displays Ultra HD 3D. That display and new 55-inch and 65-inch curved OLED Ultra HD models brought to market in 2014 will use LG's new Smart TV with functionality based on WebOS, the rights to which the company acquired from HP early last year.

Another new model is a 55-inch flat Gallery OLED display with an art frame design that incorporates a 100-watt speaker system. It can display paintings or photos when not being used (price and availability of LG's OLEDs will be announced at CES).

Samsung have applied the gold color on the frames of the body, home button, speaker, back camera, and S pen. To be exact, there are two new colors: ‘gold + white’ and ‘gold + black’. 

The Galaxy Note3  in gold will be available in Korea via SKT, KT, and LG U+ carriers in January 4th.

Is not so clear as we expect, to confirm or not if the picture below apparenttlty leaked and posted by @evleaks is really the start display UI of the upcoming LG webOS powered Smart TV.

The pic shows the Live TV app on and a row of icons of apps on the TV. To believe we need to confirm the multitasking webOS way we are used to see on Pres smartphones and on the HP Touchpad and with stacks. Unless this is a different way to show the cards. We have to wait until LG Officialy unveils it at CES 2014.

The essence of levitation technology is the countervailing of gravity. It is known that an ultrasound standing wave is capable of suspending small particles at its sound pressure nodes and, so far, this method has been used to levitate lightweight particles, small creatures, and water droplets.

The acoustic axis of the ultrasound beam in these previous studies was parallel to the gravitational force, and the levitated objects were manipulated along the fixed axis (i.e. one-dimensionally) by controlling the phases or frequencies of bolted Langevin-type transducers. 

In the present study, we considered extended acoustic manipulation whereby millimetre-sized particles were levitated and moved three-dimensionally by localised ultrasonic standing waves, which were generated by ultrasonic phased arrays. 

Our manipulation system has two original features. One is the direction of the ultrasound beam, which is arbitrary because the force acting toward its centre is also utilised. The other is the manipulation principle by which a localised standing wave is generated at an arbitrary position and moved three-dimensionally by opposed and ultrasonic phased arrays. We experimentally confirmed that various materials could be manipulated by our proposed method.
