Google's Eric Schmidt says the "Internet will disappear.

Google's executive chairman, Eric Schmidt, said the current Internet will seem to vanish as it becomes a part of everyday objects and services.
"There will be so many IP addresses, so many devices, sensors, things that you are wearing, things that you are interacting with that you won't even sense it," Schmidt said. "It will be part of your presence all the time."

Google is positioning itself to become a major provider of the Internet's next iteration that Schmidt mentioned—on earth and in space.
The search giant made headlines this week with a $1 billion investment in Elon Musk's SpaceX, according to tech blog The Information. The funds could help connect hard-to-reach areas to the Web with satellite Internet, the report said.
Google's also getting deeper into the wireless sector. It plans to sell mobile phone plans directly to consumers as early as this year, according to reports.
The company plans to work with wireless carriers Sprint and T-Mobile by piggybacking on top of their existing networks. Reports say Google will pay the companies to use space on the networks and then resell it to its own customers.

China: Apple #1 in smartphones for first time.

The incredible popularity of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in China in Q4 2014 has led Apple to take first place in the Chinese smart phone market for the first time by units shipped.

This is an amazing result, given that the average selling price of Apple’s handsets is nearly double those of its nearest competitors.
While Chinese smart phone vendors are quickly gaining ground internationally, Apple has turned the tables on them in their home market.

The company is finally riding the large screen and LTE trends in China, which have been vital to its success, along with a well-timed launch and a clampdown on grey exports of its products out of Hong Kong. The top four vendors in Q4 in China by units shipped were Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung and Huawei, respectively.

China customers prefer the bigger size of the iPhone 6 Plus 5.5 inch display than the customers in the Americas which prefer the iPhone 6  4.7 inch display size smartphone.

1Q2015: Apple sells 74.4 million iPhones 46% more but iPads -18%. Chart.

The Apple sales in China of the iPhone 6 Plus helps the company to increase its smartphone market share worldwide.

China customers prefer the bigger size of the iPhone 6 Plus 5.5 inch display than the customers in the Americas which prefer the iPhone 6  4.7 inch display size smartphone.

However not everything is sucess for Apple since the iPad market sales are continuing been diminished (Year/Year Change -18% in units) by the large variety of sizes  integrated by low cost and high ended tablets made by the competition specially Androids.

By the other hand Apple sells Macs and services with positive results.

The sales of Apple products in the Greater China ($16.14 billion) are near to get Europe sales ($17.2 billion)

Apple keeps its smartphone lead sales in the Americas with a $30.5 billion revenues.

Samsung offer for buying Blackberry is not enough.

Reuters  is coming back with the story and say their sources that want to keep it private ,people familiar with the matter and documents Reuters have seen, are exposing a Samsung buying Blackberry proposal offer.

Samsung is interested more  on the Blackberry patents than in the whole company. However the South Korean giant will have to buy the whole package, work with what they really need and shut down what they don`t need. The offer reachs to $7.5 billion.

Samsung initialy offer $13.35 to $15.49 per share, representing a premium of 38 % to 60% over Blackberry`s current price.

Ross Healy, a portfolio manager at MacNicol & Associates, which owns a small stake in Blackberry, said Samsung's reported offer undervalues the company. “To get a hold of the BlackBerry network and all its secure features, that would be a real coup for Samsung, looking to differentiate themselves from Apple and from others," he said.

The road is not easy for Samsung.  In 2013, the Canadian government had strongly hinted to BlackBerry that any sale to China’s Lenovo Group would be rejected due to security concerns, sources told Reuters at the time. Harper's office wouldn't comment on the report on Wednesday but sources familiar with the Canadian government's thinking said a Samsung buyout was unlikely to raise such concerns.

BlackBerry announced a high-profile security partnership with Samsung in November. The partnership will wed BlackBerry's security platform with the South Korean company's own security software for its Galaxy devices.

Shares of Blackberry jumped as much as 30 percent on heavy volume in afternoon trading at $29.71 per share in New York.
