TELÉFONOS INTELIGENTES RANGO MEDIO O ALTO RANGO O RANGO BAJO 5G O 4G LTE?

(SMARTPHONES: MID- RANGE OR HIGH- END OR LOW -RANGE. 5G or 4G LTE?)

En estos tiempos de coronavirus, muchos han perdido sus trabajos, otros están con sus negocios con ventas bajas, y algunos han cerrado sus negocios. Por lo tanto la capacidad de compra del consumidor está a la baja para algunos y quizás para otros no, y es su oportunidad de pensar en cambiar su teléfono o comprar uno por primera vez. A continuación algunos comentarios para ayudarlo a decidir.

RANGO MEDIO O ALTO RANGO?

En estos tiempos algunos fabricantes de teléfonos inteligentes han acercado a los teléfonos de medio rango a casi tener las mismas características que sus similares de alto rango. Algunas diferencias podrían estar en los procesadores los cuales sin bien es cierto tienen también 8 cerebros (cores) no son los de último modelo, como los que vienen dentro de los de última generación en los de alto rango.

Otra diferencia podría estar en las características de su cámara para tomar fotos. En algunos los casos los de medio rango si tienen 3 opciones de cámara trasera, igual a los de alto rango pero su capacidad en megapixeles y resolución podría ser un poco inferior a las de alto rango. Pero sus fotos siguen siendo muy buenas.

Una ventaja de los de medio rango es que todos viene con FM radio pre instalado, opción que los de alto rango NO tienen.

La gran diferencia está en los precios. Los de medio rango fluctúan entre los $400-$500-$600. Y se venden muchas veces con planes de crédito. Y los de alto rango van desde $700- $800-$900-$1000-$1.100-$1.200 to $1.495. Se venden online en algunos casos con planes de crédito, pero no todos. Sin embargo utilice su tarjeta de crédito y adapte su compra a su flujo de caja

Ahora, si usted no tiene un presupuesto para comprar en estos momentos, un teléfono de medio rango o de alto rango, existe la alternativa de teléfonos inteligentes a un precio que van desde los menos de $200 a los $350. Quizas tengan una buena cámara con solo un lente pero por lo menos es de 10 megapixeles. Igual si funcionan con procesadores de 8 cerebros.

Sin embargo, si existen teléfonos en este nivel que prácticamente parecen un Premium, en versión Lite.

Por otro lado necesita usted un teléfono 5G, ahora?

En nuestro parecer en algunos países eso tomará por lo menos 2 años más hasta estar completamente instalado ese sistema de comunicación. En los Estados Unidos, ya anunció hoy AT&T que está listo para la era 5G. Pero seguirá dando servicio a los usuarios con teléfonos 4G LTE. Ahora los que tienen todavía teléfonos 3G tendrán que cambiar ya sus celulares y será mejor piense de un vez en 5G para los Estados Unidos. Para los otros países donde tomará 2 años cambiar a 5G sus torres, usted puede pasar de 3G a 4G LTE comprando un teléfono de bajo rango o medio rango, según su presupuesto.

Sin embargo le sugiero compre de una vez uno 5G que también tenga la opción 4G LTE para funcionar en su país, en caso este cerca la comunicación 5G con sus operadores locales.

Lo que si es seguro que la muerte a los teléfonos 3G está cerca o ya está sucediendo, porque su operador no les dará más servicio. Los 2G ya están bien muertos hace rato.

LTE Taiwan: Ericsson collaborated with Far EasTone to become sole supplier of 4G/LTE.

Ericsson has entered into a contract with Far EasTone, one of the top three Taiwanese telecom operators to become its sole supplier, tasked with expanding and optimizing Far EasTone 4G network.

The collaboration will support Far EasTone's 4G and 5G network strategy. It will benefit Far EasTone's customers with superior network performance and user experience, and next generation voice calls using VoLTE and Wi-Fi.

Motorola introduces the second generation MOTO E 4G LTE, 64 bits chipset.

Motorola today launched the 2nd Generation of the MOTO E now 4G LTE at $149.- and goes on sale since today in 40 countries worldwide.

The new MOTO E arrives with Android 5.0 Lollipop, a 4.5-inch 540×960 display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, 8GB of on-board storage with removable micro SD card support, a 5MP rear camera with AF and with an f/2.2 aperture and can record 720p video at 30fps,and a front VGA camera, plus additional sensors to help trigger Motorola’s Quick Capture and active display notifications.

The Motorola Moto E (2015) has the same water resistance coating used on its bigger bros and a larger 2,390mAh battery (up from 1,980mAh).

Ecuador govermment approved 4G Network concession to Telefònica Movistar and America Mòvil Claro.

The Ecuadorian government and private Claro and Movistar phone carriers, materialized the concession of the spectrum for 4G and 3G expansion, as reported today, Monday February 2, 2015, by the Telecommunications Minister Augusto Espín, at a press conference .

The National Telecommunications Council (Conatel) was the entity that approved the negotiation of additional spectrum, this afternoon. As a result, the Ecuadorian State will receive USD 330 million 180 correspond to Claro for 60 megahertz (MHz) and 150 to Movistar for 50 MHz .

The spectrum is allocated in the bands of 1900 and 1700 and the lease time is up to 2023.

"The value is USD 3 million per MHz per year."

"The value is favorable to the state (...) is an important value in the region compared to slightly more than double that claimed in other countries," said the Minister. Espín

Claro has a higher amount of allocated spectrum due to the larger number of users concentrated in the country.

On the expansion of import quotas for cell phones, something that was included in the negotiation, Espín said to it is to be discussed at the Committee of Foreign Trade (Comex).

The Minister said between this and next week the agendas for to sign the contracts will be ready and and after sign, spectrum is delivered".

One of the commitments the telephones companies made, is they have to cover nearly 1000 kilometers of roads throughout the country with wireless voice and data. "This assignment will improve the service (cell phone) immediately," said Espin.

LTE: Singapore: SingTel Launches Full-Featured Voice over LTE.

Singapore's mobile operator SingTel has unveiled 4G ClearVoice, a commercial full-featured Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service, in collaboration with Samsung and Ericsson. Operator's VoLTE service offers full suite of telephony features such as call waiting and forwarding on the 4G network.

From 31 May, 4G ClearVoice will be available to SingTel 4G postpaid customers at no additional cost. Talktime will be deducted from the monthly bundled voice minutes of their existing subscription plan.

According to operator, key benefit of the service is the ability to connect calls in less than two seconds. In addition, 4G ClearVoice is equipped with Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (SRVCC) capability, which automatically switches ongoing calls without interruption to the 3G network if users lose connection to the 4G network.

SingTel customers who use the Samsung GALAXY Note 3 will be the first to have 4G Clear Voice. A software update is needed to allow the handset to support VoLTE calls. New GALAXY Note 3 handsets sold from 31 May will come with the update installed. The update will be progressively sent to existing GALAXY Note 3 users over-the-air between 31 May and the end of June. Users of other 4G handsets can also expect to receive the update in the coming months.
