The iPhone 4S will have unlimited data plan on Sprint.
Sprint has confirmed that it will offer an unlimited data plan for the iPhone 4S (as well as for the iPhone 4, which it will also carry). The company tells All Things D there will be a $69.99 unlimited data and text message option (which will also include 450 calling minutes). There will also be an $89.99 plan that offers all of that but with 900 calling minutes, and a $99.99 plan with unlimited access to all of these features. Keep in mind that Sprint charges a $10 premium data add-on fee for smartphone users.
Prior to the iPhone 4S launch, Sprint announced it would be keeping its unlimited data plans for the time being–however, these unlimited plans have an important footnote. There have been rumblings that the carrier’s plans will be subject to change when it announced its 4G LTE network, which will be later this week.
Like AT&T and Verizon, Sprint will try to capitalize on offering the iPhone without restrictions.
Also like AT&T and Sprint, this will likely be a temporary deal. Less than a month after introducing the iPhone, Verizon cut its unlimited plan for the smartphone and began tiered pricing. AT&T offered the option for three years, but struggled with bandwidth hogs and began throttling heavy data users.
Verizon was able to secure a bit of spotlight when it first began carrying the iPhone, in part for its unlimited plan, and Sprint is likely to as well. How effective this will be and how long it will last, however, remain to be seen.

Sprint Project 'Leapfrog' CDMA, 3G EV-DO, Wimax and LTE support.
RUMOR MILL: Several sources say Sprint wants a base station platform that can support CDMA, 3G EV-DO, WiMax and possibly Long Term Evolution (LTE) in the future so it can cheaply build out multimode coverage across the US.
Sprint is working on a new base station platform, codenamed "Project Leapfrog," that would allow it to inexpensively improve coverage across its various networks and reduce the amount of roaming fees it pays to other carrier
The operator can reduce the amount of roaming fees that it is currently paying to carriers such as Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular Corp.(NYSE: USM) while getting to switch off more of the legacy Nextel Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:NXTL) towers that it has in its network.

The CDMA in the USA P102EWW is for Verizon. (Hope someday for Sprint as well) and the GSM for the USA too P102UNA might go to AT&T or T-Mobile.
I don´t know if the CDMA FCCs authorization works for Canada as well.

Amazon: Now HTC Evo 4G $99.99 Free 2 dys shipping and of activation and tax
The HTC Evo 4G, the favorite 4.3 incher from Sprint, has revolutionized the mobile industry back in June. However, due to high demand and low stock, it was extremely hard to get at first, and when it did show up in stock, we were still looking at a $199 price tag. Sure, a $10 or $20 discount popped up here and there but no significant deals ever surfaced. Until now.
Amazon is offering a brand new EVO 4G for $99.99 to new customers signing up for a 2-year contract. The offer comes with free 2-day shipping, free activation (until Oct 18th), and no tax. Amazon is playing hard ball, as it is definitely the best offer we’ve ever seen on an EVO.

Sprint´s Samsung Transform and Sanyo Zio
Sprint is offering more Android phones, including the QWERTY-equipped Samsung Transform and the inexpensive Sanyo Zio.

Starting off with the Samsung Transform, the device features a 3.5-inch 480 by 320-pixel touchscreen display and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, along with dual cameras (a 3.2 megapixel camera for pictures and a front-facing VGA camera for video chat), along with 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and stereo Bluetooth wireless networking. The Transform is GPS-enabled—so location-aware services all work—and the device operates on Sprint’s 3G EV-DO Rev A network.
Of course, the phone sports all Android 2.1 capabilities—speech to text, visual voicemail, access to the Android Market, social networking applications, full HTML Web browsing, etc., and users can pack up to 32 GB of movies, music, and more using removable microSD storage. The Transform ties in with Sprint Zone services like Sprint Music Plus, Sprint TV, and Sprint’s NASCAR offerings, and also supports Sprint’s new Sprint ID technology so users can download “ID packs” that make over their phones for a “predefined” experience. (Because, obviously, the whole point of a highly customizable smartphone is to stick with predefined, themed experiences.) The Transform supports up to five unique Sprint IDs.
The Samsung Transform will go on sale October 10 for $149, after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year service agreement.
Sprint hopes folks looking for an easier entry into the Android world might consider the Sanyo Zio—which is actually manufactured by Kyocera. The Zio runs Android 2.1 and features a 3.5-inch 800 by 480-pixel WVGA touchscreen display and virtual QWERTY keyboard with haptic feedback for text entry and messaging, along with a trackball for navigating onscreen interface.
The Zio also packs a 3.2 megapixel video-capable camera with autofocus, a microSD slot that can handle up to 32 GB of removable storage, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and assisted GPS for location-aware services. Of course, the Zio works with Sprint ID (predefined experiences!), Sprint Zone account management, and Sprint Music Plus. The Zio will go on sale October 10 priced at $99.99, after a $100 mail-in rebate with a qualifying two-year service agreement.

Verizon LTE by this fall, AT&T LTE by mid-2011: Cellular providers switch to LTE
Prominent cellular providers in U.S.A are working on converting their networks to high speed 4G/LTE technologies. Following Sprint Nextel, Verizon Wireless and AT&T are soon expected to avail LTE network coverage in major cities in the country.
According to reports, Verizon, the largest cellular provider in the U.S. will commence to transfer network to LTE by the end of the year. Meanwhile, AT&T, the exclusive cellular partner of famous smartphone iPhone will only kick off activities to switch to next generation of network coverage be mid-2011.
In the U.S, it was Sprint that for the first time launched 4G network services. The carrier began to avail the service when it introduced HTC’s fourth-gen smartphone Evo 4G in June. As of now, Sprint provides its 4G WiMAX connectivity in 51 cities. Nashville is supposed to be the next city in the country to get 4G from Sprint, which hopes to cover 120 million customers with 4G by the end of 2010.
AT&T’s Operations CEO John Stankey recently announced at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2010 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference that his carrier will begin to offer 4G technologies by the middle of next year. Stankey said that once started the carrier can provide 4G coverage to at least 70 million customers all over the nation.
It is reported that Verizon plans to launch LTE network in almost 30 U.S. cities by this fall. The carrier has already started testing in Boston. Both the networks have not named the cities, which will get the service in the beginning.

RUMOR: Samsung Galaxy Tab (Tablet) coming to Sprint in November 2010
We have heard that Sprint is currently targeting a November release for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab tablet. Pricing for the CDMA device has not yet been disclosed to us. UPDATE: We’re also hearing it is a 3G/4G device!
The CDMA-equipped Samsung Galaxy Tab has so far been nothing more than a sticker in a random snapshot and some whispers about Verizon, but Boy Genius Report is saying that the Tab's also bound for Sprint's network this November, on both its 3G and 4G (i.e. WiMAX) network -- à la the Galaxy S / Epic 4G. No word from Sammy HQ on this one, but it's worth noting that in our briefing, a Samsung rep mentioned that an American carrier could put Qik on it and, well, that's kind of Sprint's thing.
