Meet the new Bond´s girl.

WorldWide Tech & Science. Francisco De Jesús.

French actress Bérénice Marlohe will be Bond's latest lady friend.

But who exactly is Bérénice Marlohe?

Marlohe is a mostly unknown actress and model and I don't just mean unknown here in the US. Her IMDB biography has two sentences and one is that she was just cast as the Bond girl in SKYFALL. The other notes that she made appearances on French TV shows "Père et maire," "R.I.S. Police scientifique" and "Équipe médicale d'urgence".

In the film, Marlohe will play a "glamourous, enigmatic character" named Severin. Glamorous and enigmatic? Sounds like pretty much every Bond girl...

She may not have a whole lot of acting experience to reflect back on so here's a look at Marlohe's other work: looking really hot.

2012: Lenovo, ZTE and Huawei to produce sub-US$100 smartphones models.

lWorldWide Tech & Science. Francisco De Jesús.

According to Digitimes,  Lenovo, ZTE and Huawei Technologies are expected to venture into the production of smartphone models with a price tag of around US$100 in 2012.

The China-based makers are responding to growing competition from foreign branded smartphones vendors including HTC, Apple and Samsung Electronics, which have recently expanded their product lineups for the entry-level and mid-range markets.

HTC has been trying to reduce its production costs by introducing models with comparable hardware specifications but running on different operating systems.

Taking the HTC Titan and HTC Sensational XL for example, the hardware specifications of the two models are comparable, but the HTC Titan runs on Windows Phone platform, while the HTC Sensational XL is powered by Android 2.3.4.

Apple's launch of 8GB iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS is also a vivid indication of the vendor's ambition to expand its share in the entry-level and mid-range smartphone segments.

2012: Amazon next-gen Kindle Fire likely to have 8.9-inch display.

WorldWide Tech & Science. Francisco De Jesús.

According to Digitimes sources , Amazon is likely to change its product roadmap by shifting the display size of its next-generation Kindle Fire to 8.9-inch instead of 10.1-inch as originally planned.

Amazon's current 7-inch panel suppliers Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) and LG Display (LGD) reportedly have begun to prepare production capacities for 8.9-inch displays.

Amazon may also release 9.7- to 10.1-inch models in 2012.

2012: Apple to overhaul all product lines. iPad,iMac, iPhone and MB Air.

WorldWide Tech & Science. Francisco De Jesús.

Apple plans to completely overhaul its product lineups, including iPad, iMac, iPhone and MacBook Air, in 2012 and is expected to finalize order volumes for key parts and components for the next-generation iPad in December, according to sources in the upstream supply chain.

Inventory of key parts and components for the next-generation iPads will be sufficient enough for the production of two million units by year-end 2011, the sources pointed out.

Apple has asked makers in the supply chain to develop flat panel modules and LED light bars for two iPad prototypes, codenamed J1 and J2, the sources revealed.

TPK Holdings will begin to supply touch panels to Apple in November before Wintek starts shipping comparable models in December, added the sources.

However, the next-generation iPhone and iMac are unlikely to be revealed until the second half of 2012, the sources added.
