Rossin-Bertin, a Brazil supercar maker, has unveiled its new vehicle, known as the Vorax, at the 2010 Sao Paulo Auto Show.
The Rossin-Bertin Vorax, which looks like a Mazda designed car, features an aluminum chassis and a carbon fiber body, which helps keep weight at just 2,866 pounds. Powered by the 5.0L V10 from the BMW M5, the entry-level 570-hp Vorax has the ability to run from 0-62 mph in 38 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph. The top-of-the-line 750-hp supercharged Vorax can spring from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 231 mph.
Production of the Rossin-Bertin Vorax will take place at a proposed plant in Blumenau, Brazil in late 2011 or early 2012. Limited production is expected, between 500 and 1,000 units, with prices starting just under $410,000.
