Japan: Japanese company creates a toilet that is controlled through an Android smartphone.

Is increasingly common  listen about toilets functioning as bidets, using water jets to clean and which can also regulate certain aspects such as amount of water used or the temperature of the seat. What has not been seen is that all this was controlled by a smartphone.

That's what the "Satis"  toilet line   of the Japanese company LIXIL promises, which can be controlled via an Android app called "My Satis".

Using the software, the user can pull the string, adjust the water temperature and even lift the lid when you are going to the bathroom, all through a Bluetooth connection. You can also play music from the phone using the speakers installed in.

The application also has logging capabilities, allowing, for example, see how much water and electricity is being used monthly in the bathroom and create a specific configuration for the user, which is activated automatically when the user arrives to the bathroom.

As reported JapanTrends, Satis will be released in February and will be available in three models, with prices  from U.S. $ 2385. The video below is in Japanese, however some of the content can be understood:

  1. The Japanese have the most technologically advanced toilets, but it is kind of weird to have that much unnecessary technology on something so simple. But it is nice to know that we can do those things.
