Microsoft sent out press invitations for January 21st: Windows 10 The Next Chapter.

At the Windows Blog Microsoft have announced the upcoming January 21st event at Redmond, Washington for to unveiling the Windows 10 January Technical Preview  and will show then some of the features that could be offered to consumers once the OS hits the market.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will hold a keynote and Terry Myerson and Phil Spencer will talk about the consumer experience on Windows 10.

Microsoft will offer a webcast to allow users around the world to watch the event .

Early versions of Cortana and Continuum are expected and the new option that allows the switching from the desktop UI to Metro instantly for 2 in 1 PCs.

The Windows 10 January Technical Preview could include a new version update of kernel to 10.
