LG Smart 2014 TVs with WebOS 1.0 will be upgraded to WebOS 2.0 worldwide.

LG has confirmed its 2014 Web OS 1.0-equipped TVs, including sets like the 55EC9300 OLED, will be updated to version 2.0 of the operating system.

The upgrade  "will include all the significant 2015 features such as 'My Channels,' upgraded quick settings and input selection interfaces,"

LG claims the upgraded OS will be "more than 1.5x faster" then the current version on 2014 TVs

Web OS 2.0 on 2015 TVs will perform "slightly greater than 3x faster" compared to 2014 TVs running Web OS 1.0.

How exactly fast will run the upgrade in 2014 models compared to 2015 models with WebOS 2.0 pre-installed,  is still to be determined.

The update will happen sometime in the second half of 2015, and will be rolled out to every 2014 TV with Web OS 1.0, worldwide.
