With mobile security issues increasingly becoming a regular part of our lives, it is more important for consumers and organizations to be more transparent and work closer together to stay on top of the rapidly changing landscape.
To that end, LG Electronics would like to announce the opening of its own product security site to act as the first point of contact for all security issues related to LG mobile products. The site https://lgsecurity.lge.com will be managed by LG’s own Product Security Response Team (PSRT) and includes information in the following categories: Security News, Response Process, Security Bulletins and Security Issues Reporting.
LG’s Product Security website will regularly publish bulletins and updates regarding security issues in LG products and details that can make our customers’ experience with LG mobile devices a safe and secure one. The website will include issues related to Android that are issued by Google with the most critical vulnerabilities listed first, followed by those deemed high, moderate and low threats.
Customers or researchers who believe they have discovered a possible security flaw in an LG mobile product are encouraged to contact LG’s Product Security Response Team at product.security@lge.com

Press Release:
Microsoft to acquire LinkedIn
REDMOND, Wash., and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — June 13, 2016 — Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) and LinkedIn Corporation (NYSE: LNKD) on Monday announced they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Microsoft will acquire LinkedIn for $196 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $26.2 billion, inclusive of LinkedIn’s net cash. Thanks to PhoneArena who has obtained from private sources the Samsung teaser above pictured, it says clearly WRITE ON THE EDGE OF SOMETHING GREAT showing the S-Pen over the edge of the phablet..
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 edge will probably feature a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED screen,
carrying a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution. The Snapdragon 823 SoC is under
the hood with a quad-core CPU, and the Adreno 530 GPU. 6GB of RAM is on
board, and the 12MP rear snapper found on the Galaxy S7 is used on the
handset. That camera comes with an f/1.7 aperture.
We don´t know at this time if Samsung will unveil just one model of the Galaxy Note 7 as edge and not the Galaxy Note 7 flat model or maybe will be available the two models.

Samsung showed the first foldable
screens at CES 2013. There is a video ad since then showing 2 foldable
smartphones concepts: phone to tablet and a phone with rollable screen that was
also presented early this year.
Samsung’s
first foldable phone is “right around the corner” according to Gregory Lee,
President and CEO of Samsung Telecommunications America.
Samsung is
not the only company that will make foldable smartphones. Recently Lenovo
presented a slim smartphone that bends around your wrist like a smartphone, and
a tablet that folds in half to convert it on a phone.
LG and
Chinese startup Moxi Group are testing their concepts as well.
Speaking at
the Future:Mobile conference, and reported by
Recode, Lee said
that the new bendable phones are incoming.
Explaining
the delay behind getting them to market he continued, “it just has been very
difficult to manufacture at a reasonable cost”.
Rumors are
saying Samsung will unveil more foldable smartphones concepts this August when
the company will launch the Galaxy Note 7 and the Galaxy Note 7 edge.
We expect
slim designs and light to carry models for the upcoming foldable smartphones in 2017.

LG 'webOS For Signage' Platform Expands Solution Partners For Unparalleled Customer Experience
Featured at InfoComm 2016, Platform Offers New Solution Partners, Resulting in Truly Interactive Smart Digital Signage Displays.
Expanded solution partners for the commercial version of LG Electronics' popular webOS smart TV platform – "webOS for Signage," implemented in even more LG commercial displays this year – offers convenient new options for business owners deploying smart digital signage solutions.
Optimized for commercial applications, LG's webOS for Signage, the all-in-one hardware and software platform built upon the popularity of the webOS smart TV platform for consumer televisions, is bringing a new level of integrated benefits to businesses deploying digital signage displays. LG's digital signage displays feature a high-performance system-on-a-chip (SoC) which works with LG's webOS for Signage platform to lower the cost of ownership by eliminating the need for PCs or external media players.
Demonstrated at InfoComm 2016, LG's integrated SoC running webOS allows system integrators to download useful content and develop customized applications that fit their exact needs. With webOS for Signage, LG's Smart Platform Signage can be updated simply and quickly via a smartphone or tablet. WiFi connectivity eliminates the need for a wired connection or costly network infrastructure.
"Beyond providing customized and functional solutions for business owners and system integrators, LG's webOS for Signage now offers business owners a swath of customer experience upgrades, cloud-based solutions, mobile accessibility, screen control, multi-touch solutions with LG's expanded solution partners," said Garry Wicka, head of marketing for LG Electronics USA.
New and noteworthy software partnerships are expanding cloud-based digital signage solutions for LG digital displays featuring the webOS platform, as highlighted this week at InfoComm:
Industry Weapon's support of webOS centers on its powerful yet simple digital signage software, CommandCenterHD, built for non-technical users with capabilities that ease the burden of content creation. Poised for launch on LG smart signage displays this fall, the Industry Weapon platform is powerful, managing complex integrations, scheduling and permission requirements for business and government applications.
Scala is taking its webOS support to the next level by backing innovative new digital signage and customer experience solutions on LG commercial displays powered by webOS. The combined strengths of Scala's market-leading platform and webOS, along with LG's display quality and ease of deployment, will give clients new first-class options to meet their needs, drive their brand, and in turn, delight their customers.
Gauddi is the world's first digital signage platform exclusively dedicated to LG webOS, and offers a cloud-based solution that's as intuitive to set up and use as a smartphone. With a Video on Demand feature, content can be stored on the display, and recalled for playback using the LG remote.
PingHD's EngagePHD™ is an easy-to-use, scalable, Web-based content management and digital signage network monitoring application, with optimized support for LG's webOS enabled commercial displays and their integrated beacon technology.
ONELANis a highly scalable CMS for both on-premise and cloud-hosted deployments. Customers can use any standard browser to log into CMS, and the software is designed for best-in-class media playback, scheduling capabilities, offline content playback, multi-media & multi zone, ultra-smooth ticker and live HDMI inputs.
Signagelive's low-cost, fully-supported cloud solution that runs on LG's flexible webOS for signage platform eliminates the need for external media players to run and manage digital signage campaigns, and is interactive with product displays. It was the first to launch a webOS solution in the United States.
Intuilab's support for webOS for Signage focuses on multi-touch content development. IntuiFace allows customers to build modern, engaging, highly functional interactive experiences with superior wayfinding abilities for any audience without writing code to create everything from digital signage to sales pitches, museum exhibits, point-of-sale kiosks and more.
LG's solution partner demonstrations at InfoComm exemplify the growing number of best-in-class partners to support webOS for Signage as the platform continues to expand and evolve from basic solutions to full-scale enterprise solutions.
Visitors to LG's booth at InfoComm 2016 (June 8-10, Las Vegas Convention Center, Central Hall #C8308) will be able to experience LG's smart commercial displays first hand.

Apple has announced that its annual World Wide Developer Conference WWDC 2016 this year and will kick off at 10am PT on Monday, June 13, at the
Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California.
What we expect?
Apple may announce and unveil iOS 10, OS X 10.12 (or macOS), watchOS 3, tvOS 10, and potentially new
MacBooks Pro, updated Mac Pro, a new Apple Display, and new AirPort
systems.
The Google´s Android N 7.0 OS has a rolling out schedule consodering the Nexus smartphone as the always first device to get it this year:
March: Android N developer preview 1 (alpha)
April: Android N developer preview 2 (beta)
May: Android N developer preview 3 (beta)
June: Android N developer preview 4 (with final APIs and SDK)
July: Android N developer preview 5 (near-final build)
August/September: Final Android 7.0 AOSP build.
When Samsung, HTC, LG and Huawei will update their smartphones to Android N? Let´s figure it out a little:
Samsung:
It took Samsung five months to sort out its first Android Marshmallow
update last year, for instance. Android Marshmallow launched on Sept.
29 and Samsung pushed its first update out to the Galaxy Note 5
(Verizon) on March 3, 2016.
What does this mean for Android N? Simple: you probably won’t be getting it on your Galaxy S7 until at least Q1 2017.
HTC:
HTC did A LOT better than Samsung last year with updates; Android
Marshmallow landed on the HTC One M9 in December, just two months after
Google’s official release.
Unlike Samsung, HTC has A LOT to prove in 2016. The HTC 10 is up
against one of the strongest Android lineups in recent memory with the
LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 EDGE, so the company needs to ensure it
delivers the goods with respect to timely Android updates.
Best case scenario? The HTC 10 will be rocking Android N by December, just in time for Christmas.
LG:
Like HTC, LG has been pretty good with its Android updates — the
company was the first, save for Google, to get a carrier version of
Android 6 out the gates. The first Android Marshmallow update landed on
the LG G4 in December 2015. The V10 and G3 received the same update in
March.
This means we could be looking at an Android N update for the LG G5 in December — and, early-December at that.
Huawei:
It was also one of the first handset makers to get an Android
Marshmallow phone out — the AWESOME Huawei Mate 8 shipped with Android 6
during November, just one month after Google released the software.
This puts Huawei in very good stead, as it is confirmed to be
updating its Mate line at exactly the same time this year — November. If
this happens, an entirely plausible potential, then Huawei would have
one of the first, save for Google’s Nexus phones, Android N phone on
market.
Expect the Huawei P9 and Mate 8 to get the same treatment during December at the earliest.
