Apple new iPhones pre-orders date September 14th leaked, main event probably September 11th, release Sept 21st.

Apple last year introduced the iPhone 8 and iPhone X on September 12th (Tuesday) , followed by a pre-order date of September 15th (iPhone X pre-orders were pushed back until October).

Macerkopf from Germany , who works with German carriers, is reporting that iPhone pre-orders will begin on Friday, September 14th, 2018, that would suggest that Apple’s iPhone event will be either on Tuesday, September 11th or on Wednesday, September 12th. It would also mean that Apple has the release date planned on Friday, September 21st. 

Apple  will  release three brand new iPhone models.  Apple will introduce a 6.5-inch OLED display“iPhone X Plus.” , a 6.1-inch iPhone with an almost-edgeless LCD display. And right in the middle, there will of course be a second-gen version of last year’s iPhone X 5.8 inch OLED display.

iPhone X Plus 6.5 inch OLED alongside the 5.8 inch OLED and 6.1 inch TFT-LCD models coming in 2018.

Recent rumors are saying Apple will come up with 3 models of the iPhone for next year: A brand new iPhone X Plus with a 6.5 inch OLED display, an updated iPhone X 5.8 inch OLED and  a 6.1 inch TFT-LCD iPhone X . With this last model Apple is targeting a low/ mid range market with lower prices than the actual iPhone X , maybe from $649 to $749.-

The 3 of them with a full screen notched design and Tru Depth camera like the actual iPhone X 2017.

This rumor  according to respected KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. 

The question is: Will Apple keep the notch on iPhone 2018 models? Will see.

Samsung preparing for a in-folded type Galaxy Note 9 smartphone launch for next year.

According to the investor korea the next Samsung Galaxy Note version 9 will be a in-folded type smartphone.

Samsung may have decided to adopt the in-folding type due to the development of related technologies, which means the phone’s imminent launch can be possible. 

The firm reportedly aims to realize a curvature radius of 3 millimeters.

“Samsung has nearly developed technologies related to the in-folding type phone. It means a lot for it to return to the type,”

On Sept. 12, Samsung’s mobile chief Koh Dong-jin also hinted that the firm’s first foldable phone is likely to become the next Note phone, tentatively called the Galaxy Note 9.

“We have the foldable phone in our roadmap for the Note series and are working to solve a series of hurdles before unveiling it next year,” he said at a media conference for the Galaxy Note 8 launch.

“We are preparing for a foldable phone launch but it is still under development,” a Samsung spokesperson said.

Apple planning to launch a 5.85 and 6.46 inch OLED iPhones next year.

ET News said Apple plans to launch two OLED iPhones next year -- a 5.85-inch and 6.46-inch models. The 5.58-inch is the same size screen of the upcoming iPhone 8 this year.

Apple has started development work with Samsung Display, the sole OLED supplier, and other parts makers earlier than usual, sources said.

“The development schedule has been advanced considering diverse factors such as funding, facility investment and production plans,” a sources close to the matter told ET News on condition of anonymity.

“Work for this year’s iPhone started in April, also earlier than usual.”

If the plan goes ahead as planned, Apple will sell three OLED models next year following the debut of the first one later this year. Considering iPhone sells more than 200 million units every year, it is estimated to secure OLED panels for 70 million phones this year and the number could surge to 170 million next year. 

Palm smartphones coming back to life in 2018, but without WebOS.

TCL the manufacturer of ALCATEL , BLACKBERRY branded devices are going to bring back the Palm Brand  with new smartphones for early 2018. These smartphones will not arrive with WebOS software since LG is the owner of the OS that only uses for Smart TVs.

Instead is more likely the Palm devices will come with Android OS.

There are a lot of Palm mobiles users that still keep their PDAs, Palm Smartphones with Palm OS and Palm WebOS and the TouchPad tablet that probably would like to see a Palm device with the latest technology

Back in the day, Palm pioneered the concept of personal digital assistant (PDA) devices, largely considered the predecessor to smartphones. They’ve entered this market back in 1996 and achieved success with devices like the Palm TX and the Palm Pilot. With the Palm Pre, in 2009, they attempted to take on the rising Android and iOS platforms with their webOS alternative. And while webOS was a compelling platform (which even took rising designer Matias Duarte as their UX head), it failed to actually gain traction in the market. Fast-forward to 2010, and the company was bought by Hewlett-Packard for $1.2 billion, only to be sold again to TCL a mere 5 years later in 2015 (with webOS rights being sold to LG in 2013).
