Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge coming with LoopPay technology. Video.

The Samsung Pay is going to be based on the LoopPay technology, which enables customers to pay at sale terminals by touching LoopPay-enabled cards.

However, Samsung's way of paying with utilize the new Galaxy S6 fingerprint sensor. According to the latest round of rumors, the company's upcoming flagship will sport a non-swipe fingerprint sensor.

The sensor will still offer the extensive TouchWiz functionality, including Private mode, Pay with PayPal, as well as signing into Samsung Account and supported websites.

Furthermore, LoopPay is said to be preparing touch-enabled payment cases for the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 as part of the Samsung deal.

The new mobile payment system doesn't require NFC to be built into phones, but mimics a credit card swipe instead, so it could be accepted at much more merchants than Apple Pay worldwide, currently to the tune of 10 million. Insiders mention it will be available through different providers in different regions, which makes sense, if it will be indeed similar to LoopPay's tech, which you can see detailed in the video above.

MWC2015: Samsung reveal the curves of its upcoming Galaxy UNPACKED 2015 for March 1st.

Samsung just teased today on the Press site (picture above) the upcoming GALAXY UNPACKED 2015 event that will take place in Barcelona at the MWC 2015 a little before in March 1st. WHAT`S NEXT

The surprise I think for all is the curved up new design of the device and make us wondering what will be the purpose of that part of the phone. Will work with indepedent apps of the main flat display of the phone. What will be the size of the phone for this design? a 6 inch plus maybe? or it is just integrated to the work of the  flat part of the phone ?

Samsung is rumored to launch two versions of the Galaxy S6 this new one with the part curved up display and  the Samsung Galaxy S Edge with two sided curved display.

Wait a minute. I am guessing that maybe Samsung will present also a traditional flat display model alongside with the two just above mentioned devices.

Sizes perhaps 4.7, 5.5 and 6 inch plus.

Will all of them be 64 bits.?

Rumored specifications:
The Galaxy S6 will feature a 5" QHD Super AMOLED display and draw power from the Exynos 7420 chipset with octa-core CPU and 3GB of RAM. At the back, the flagship will feature a heart rate monitor and a 20MP rear camera. 143.5 x 70.7 x 7.2mm

MWC2015: LyncShield is now offering the Ultimate Lync security suite for the Enterprise.

LyncShield is now offering the ultimate Lync security suite to organizations looking for secure Lync connectivity, allowing them to safely connect users to Lync servers from smartphones, tablets and any other external device.

LyncShield is an innovative enterprise solution that prevents unauthorized devices (mobiles and desktops) from connecting to the corporate network, avoids the usage of Active Directory (AD) credentials and protects against account lockout/DDoS.

LyncShield offers the following Lync security features:
  • Two Factor Authentication (TFA)/Device registration – verifies that Lync connection is achieved only from registered devices. The solution includes a website with several registration workflows offering either a self-service enrollment or a central management approval process to register devices.
  • Block DDoS attacks and prevent account lockout – prevents a network account lockout situation in Denial-of-Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks. The solution offers a unique site defense approach handling an attack going through all authentication channels (HTTP/S, SOAP, SIP and more).
  • Restrict Lync to corporate or managed devices – limits access to the organization's Lync server only to corporate or managed devices that have the MDM client installed. The solution offers several approaches depending on the MDM implementation and supports most of the MDM vendors in the market.
  • RSA Token Authentication – eliminates the need to use AD credentials for users of secure tokens wishing to connect to Lync servers from external devices and enables Two Factor Authentication based on the token. RSA solution also handles Exchange connectivity.
  • Exchange Protection – protects Exchange Web Services (EWS) against account lockout and limits access to the EWS only from registered device (TFA).
"Connecting to the organization's server using the Lync client from smartphones, tablets and any other device outside the organization poses serious security risks," said Guy Eldan, CEO of AGAT Software, which developed LyncShield. "These risks derive from the need to authenticate a user connecting externally from non-managed environments and devices."

Microsoft to invest $70 million in Cyanogen.

Microsoft is investing in Android developer Cyanogen, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal.

Microsoft would be a minority investor in a roughly USD 70 million round of equity financing that values Cyanogen in the high hundreds of millions, one of the people said.

The financing round could grow with other strategic investors that have expressed interest in Cyanogen, the report said. Microsoft and Cyanogen declined to comment.

Cyanogen offers an alternate version of the Android mobile operating system with fewer resrtictions on apps.

The 80-person company claims to have a volunteer army of 9,000 software developers working on its own version of Android.

Cyanogen has raised USD 100 million to date and claims more than 50 million people use a version of the Cyanogen Android operating system.
