Intel´s Extreme Masters for Gaming at Comic Con N.Y October 8-10,2010
I want to be a part of it… New York, New York…
It’s New York City Baby! Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Broadway and Intel Extreme Masters. That’s right; we’re taking it on the road to New York City where we will be setting up shop at Comic Con October 8th ~ 10th. This event is going to be huge with even more gaming, more prizes and more fun. Not only will you be able to watch the world’s best gamers compete for $60,200 in prize money playing Star Craft II, Quake Live and Counter Strike, we have added the Intel GP Series US Finals into the mix as well. Thanks to iRacing.com, ten of the best sim racers from the US and Canada will compete for $8,100 in prize money and a chance to compete at the world finals at CeBIT 2011.
Our friends and partners at ESL (Electronics Sports League) will once again be hosting the Intel Extreme Masters competition, a complete listing of competitors and competition schedules can be found on ESL website, for those of you that want to watch the matches live check out the live internet stream on ESL TV.
On the Intel GP Series front we will have IZOD Indycar driver (and part time sim racer) Justin Wilson on hand to talk about his experiences in the IZOD Indycar series and how sim racing can help a race car driver’s performance on the real race track. The race will be broadcast live on PSRTV so be sure to tune in and catch all the on track action.
It’s going to be a fun week, I’m looking forward to soaking up a little bit of New York ambiance, eating some good food (it’s all about the food) meeting new people and getting to talk about one of my favorite pass times, gaming! But before I say goodnight from New York City I want to give a shout out to our official Intel Extreme Masters sponsor, Razer and to Logitech and PlaySeat for providing the steering wheels and racing platforms for the Intel GP Series. Be sure to check out the Extreme Masters web site for photos from our stop here in New York and be sure to follow us on Twitter.
