Samsung
wants it all. Now eyeing Windows Phone 8 market with the Odyssey and Macro
smartphones.
For Samsung
is not enough to be the number one Android smartphones vendor and also the
worlds Top One phones and smartphones seller with 50,5 million sold in Q2 2012.
Sources are
saying Samsung will go after the Windows Phone 8 market with two new smartphones
codenamed “Odyssey” and “Macro”, according to court documents filed during
the Samsung-Apple
mega-trial last
week.
Both feature 1.5GHz dual-core processors,
4G LTE connectivity and Super AMOLED displays.
The Odyssey is the fancier phone of the
two with its 8-megapixel camera, NFC connectivity and 4.65-inch display, while
the Macro features a 5-megapixel camera and a 4-inch screen.
Launch date Q4 2012 not confirmed yet.
