Samsung granted a design patent for a Next-Gen Fold-out Smartphone.

Last week the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published a design patent of Samsung's revealing a fold-out smartphone design as noted below:

At the Samsung Analyst Day 2013 Samsung did show an slide were the foldable mobiles are projected to be presented between 2016 to 2017:

However there is no official launch date for a Samsung foldable smartphone yet. Maybe late 2017 or early 2018.
