LENOVO is going to announce tomorrow at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona a new tablet as you can see on the picture below posted by the company on Twitter

Speculation says it is the new Thinkpad Helix 2 tablet., Thinkpad Tablet Pro, a Windows 8.1 tablet with LTE and lightweight!

Well, you have to wait until tomorrow at 1 p.m EST to know if it is a tablet or....?

Italtel today announced the availability of NetMatch-S, the world’s first Cloud-inside Session Border Controller (SBC), which uses Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) technologies to help operatorsmove towards the Telco in the Cloud model.

NetMatch-S manages and secures voice, video and multimedia IP sessions at the border of Enterprises and Service Providers’ networks, enabling network interoperability thanks to its distinctive interworking features.

Virtualization and cloud infrastructure for communication services offer service provider advantages in operational cost reduction and time to market service distribution to the final customer.

“Our NetMatch-S is the first “cloud-inside” SBC because it was fully designed anddeveloped in a cloud environment,” said Stefano Pileri, CEO of Italtel. “Maximum flexibility, dynamic configuration and scalability to respond to customers’ needs are the key features of this product which is designed for differentiating service solutions and strongly reducing OpEx.”

With its “Lite Edition”, NetMatch-S is the first virtualized SBC to be qualified by Microsoft for interoperability with Lync 2013 and is in production on virtualized environments. Ithas already been deployed for both User Network Interfaces(UNI) and Network Node Interfaces(NNI) by enterprises and service providers in EMEA.

NetMatch-S has evolved to become a fully cloud-ready implementation by internally  adopting the cloud paradigm and exploiting dynamic mechanisms for resource  allocation on demand, depending on the effective IP session management  requirements.

It is designed to support different virtualization technologies, including VMware, Linux  KVM and MS System Center, and can be managed by different/multiple Cloud Orchestrators.

MWC 2014: Samsung sends out invitations to the sneak preview of Newest Tizen devices.

Samsung has now started sending out invites for an event that will take place in Barcelona on February 23, at Hotel ARTS. The event is going to be focused solely on the Tizen platform, and Samsung claims that only at this event, the press and enthusiasts will have the chance to get an exclusive sneak preview of the newest Tizen devices.

While NTT Docomo will most likely not be present at the event, other backers are expected to attend, such as SK Telecom, KT Corporation and LG U+.

On the invitation Samsung says:

"Please join the Tizen Association Board on Sunday, 23 February 2014 for a welcome reception and kick-off to MWC 2014" 

"During this invite only event, you will get an exclusive sneak preview of the newest Tizen devices as well as an opportunity to learn about the major milestones that the Tizen project has hit since last year's event." 

"We ask you to Reserve time from 3-6 PM CET on 23 February 2014 at Hotel Union Arts Barcelona Where you also have the Opportunity to hear from Will and Interview Tizen Association Board Members."

The question : Is Samsung  going to showcase some Tizen devices and not the Galaxy S5 yet, will they then launch it there or  little after with Tizen OS in? or it is to early for that?

The symptoms are Samsung is preparing the field to abandon Android sooner or later, adopting its own Tizen mobile OS for all their handsets.

LG is also coming first with webOS Smart TVs already showcased at CES 2014, and right after that with webOS Home appliances, smartphones, phatablets and tablets, and in some point  LG may abandon Android also.

The mobile OS market race will change then between Android, Apple iOS, Windows Phone, Tizen and webOS. 

Let`s see how the future will turn for mobile this 2014 and 2015. We just wait.

In a short  news post LG confirms the release of the smartphone G Pro 2 for next month. LG is not giving a precise date but we suppose it will be ready for the MWC 2104 to take place in  Barcelona Spain from February 24-27, 2014.

The LG G Pro 2  is supposed to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 6-inch full HD display (some rumours have suggested a 5.9-inch QHD display 2560x1440p). The phone will also reportedly come with LTE-Advanced support, Android 4.4, and the usual set of connectivity options.

LG says the G Pro adopted a vivid picture of the full-HD display and that the LG UX (user experience) was highly valued.

UNLOCKED LG smartphones:

MWC 2014: Rumors: LG G Pro 2 with 5.9" QHD arriving at, and the LG G3 for May 17th, with 5.5" QHD screen.

LG will unveil the Optimus G Pro 2 in late February at the MWC (the original was announced at the MWC too). The second generation phablet is said to have a 5.9" QHD screen. There's probably going to be a Snapdragon 80x chipset at their hearts (hopefully 805) and quite possibly an OIS camera.

Rumors have said the  Optimus G Pro 2 is the LG-D830 and  features  a 1080p HD display and LTE support a 13-megapixel rear camera with 4K video capture and slow-motion playback.

The LG G3 will launch on May 17 and not at MWC 2014 as was expected, and will sport a QHD (2,560 x 1,440) display, that's as big as 5.5" , Android 4.4 KitKat smartphone  with swipe fingerprint sensor, Quad HD display and a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor.

LG will show then 5 Androids smartphones at MWC 2014 LG-D830, LS740, LG-D410, LG-D320, LG-MS323. (all discovered on HTLM5test and on Bluetooth org), if the LG G3 is moved to May, then could be 6.

As all these are rumors that sometimes are actualy confirmed and sometime not,we suggest to wait to the official event in Barcelona this February  24-27.

Mobile App Delivers Full Mobile World Congress Information

NFC Experience at Mobile World Congress

The 2014 Mobile World Congress NFC Experience has been expanded to provide an even greater range of mobile NFC services for attendees with NFC-enabled devices, such as venue access, catering and networking, as well as demonstrations of the latest NFC products and services, among others. The  smartphone market trends  from 2012 to this yet 2013  are consumers directed to get a low ended smartphone than a high ended version not only by the cost , having lower price the  Lite version, but also for  the circunstance of owning a tablet 7, 8 or 10 inches with all what you need on your daily life, redirects the consumer habit to get a Lite smartphone instead.

The rumor from different sources on the web are saying Samsung will unveil a Galaxy Note 3 Lite version,  with a slight drop from the current high-end specs featured on the original Galaxy Note 3. These Lite Specificiationjs might be: LCD  5.68 inches display instead of AMOLED and an 8-megapixel camera rather than a 13-megapixel one. The Note 3 Lite will likely also feature a less powerful processor, less internal storage and less RAM. 

Evidence of the Galaxy Note 3 Lite’s existence includes the discovery of a new Samsung model number, SM-N7505, which surfaced on shipping manifests for the manufacturer. 

The Galaxy Note 3 Lite, which we exclusively confirmed would be launching in 2014, has entered into mass production on December 12th. Moreover, Samsung is reportedly expecting the Note 3 Lite to account for 30 percent of all sales of the Galaxy Note 3 lineup.
