MacWorld 2011: Free Games Developed by ClayWare Games

WorldWideTech & Science. Francisco De Jesús.

Press Release

ClayWare Games, LLC was founded to create and develop fun and educational games, interactive storytelling apps, apps to enhance existing school curriculums, and other software. Currently we are using our existing library of games to bring attention to our accessory, the Pad Bracket wall-mount for the iPad and iPhone (http://padbracket.com).

Through sales of the Pad Bracket, ClayWare will fund the development of education titles designed to capture the imagination of young learners while building critical math, language, and reasoning skills, and exploring history, cultural awareness and creativity through storytelling.

ClayWare is well suited for the development of fun, educational titles, since each founder brings their own unique skills to the process. Co-Founder Debra Lewis brings her background in education and her skill as a creative writer. Co-Founder Lucas Jordan brings his background in software development and his love for gaming in all of its forms.

‘Space Attack!!’ is an action game reminiscent of old favorites. Defend your cities from the Saucer People who are sending asteroids, bombs, and abduction saucers to reduce your cities to ruin. Defend yourself by launching missiles at their attacks.

But watch out, each enemy has a unique defense.

About ‘Colors and Shapes’ and ‘Numbers and Counting’ (http://goo.gl/snil5)
‘Colors and Shapes’ presents a young child with three activities that allow them to
develop skills in basic shape and color identification.

Activities:
Find balloons of a given color
Find balloons of a given shape
Find balloons of a given shape and color
‘Numbers and Counting’ continues their education by providing activities for the
development of number identification and counting.

Activities:
Identify a number.
Count the balloons.
Identify which numbers come before or after a number.

These two showpiece apps will ultimately be incorporated into a single larger app that will offer a growing collection of educational activities. The success of these applications has shown that parents are interested in using the iPhone and iPad as part of their child’s education. ClayWare is moving forward to fill this growing market.
