NEC announced a collaboration with the Wuhan Research Institute of Post and Telecommunications, to collaborate in the development, manufacturing, sales and field support of LTE systems. Products from NEC and the Chinese vendor will support both TD-LTE and FD-LTE standards, and be commercially available “within 2011.”
