LCD monitor brand vendor ViewSonic is seeing its 7-inch tablet PC shipments reach 55,000-60,000 units per month benefiting mainly from strong sales in Europe, according to sources from channel retailers.
ViewSonic has also started selling its 10.1-inch tablet PC, ViewPad 10s, which has a better hardware configuration for the upcoming Android 3.0 operating system. Although the device is currently still using Android 2.2, once Google releases authorization to its downstream partners, the device will be upgraded instantly.
The ViewPad 10s adopts Nvidia's Tegra 2 processor featuring support for 1080P video and Adobe Flash 10.1 as well as a 10-inch LED screen with a resolution of 1024 by 600, 512MB memory, and 16GB storage space.
