Garmin buys Navigon.

Satellite navigation specialist Garmin announced a deal to acquire Navigon, a Germany-based company which offers navigation applications for smartphones and which holds a 7 percent share of the European portable navigation device market. In a statement, 


Garmin said that “with Navigon, we are also acquiring one of the top-selling navigation applications for the iPhone and Android platforms – something that we expect will help drive revenue for the combined company going forward.”
