Sometimes the posts you wrote might give you an idea of where is going a certain pattern, in this case webOS. The trend up to this day Nov 9th, 2011 is HP will keep webOS. Will go in a significant multi year period, a webOS 2.0 tablet could come and no phones, said HP CEO Meg Whitman. Of course this multiyear webOS project proposal will take a couple of months or a little more time than two months to make the right decision and to present the new business webOS model.
What is a business model ?
Most organizations, using a business model to create, deliver and capture value.
This process is part of business strategy: purpose, offerings, strategies, infrastructure, organizational structures, trading practices, and operational processes and policies.
The essence of a business model is that it defines the manner by which the business enterprise delivers value to customers, entices customers to pay for value, and converts those payments to profit: it thus reflects management’s hypothesis about what customers want, how they want it, and how an enterprise can organize to best meet those needs, get paid for doing so, and make a profit.
Business models are used to describe and classify businesses (especially in an entrepreneurial setting), but they are also used by managers inside companies to explore possibilities for future development. Also, well known business models operate as recipes for creative managers.
In simple words to start up thinking the idea again and again like a brain storm way and define a clear business model and it includes a dollars budget, break even point, TIR etc financial stuff.
Strong reason to take some time for making the right webOS new business model. Don´t you think?
By the way, HP is developing a new webOS 3.0.5 update for the TouchPad.
