Apple removes Dropbox apps from App Store.

The Dropbox online storage apps have been removed from Apple’s App Store as they fail to meet Apple’s in-app purchasing guidelines, reports imediamonkey.

Changes to the Dropbox SDK mean that users can purchase subscriptions for additional storage space by bypassing Apple’s in-app purchase system and going straight to the Dropbox website via the Safari browser.

When Apple introduced in-app purchases, it said that purchases and subscriptions must be made within its official system, with developers handing over 30 percent of each subscription fee.
