LOC-AID Technologies®, Inc., the world's first and largest Location-as-a-Service (LaaS) company, today announced that International CTIA WIRELESS® 2011 has declared LOCAIDER™ top winner of The Big Idea Contest, a competition that recognizes new and innovative concepts for wireless products, applications and services. After assembling 45 finalists, the CTIA allowed the broader community to vote on the most innovative new products and services. Over 5,000 mobile industry professionals voted and selected LOC-AID's LOCAIDER privacy management application winner for this year's contest.
Rip Gerber, President & CEO of LOC-AID, presented the 'big idea' behind LOCAIDER on the Exhibit Innovations Stage at the CTIA event yesterday. "LOCAIDER is a revolutionary application in location-based services, and we're delighted that the wireless community voted LOC-AID winner of CTIA's innovation contest.
This award is the 'mobile people's choice' for 2011," Mr. Gerber noted. "LOCAIDER enables mobile developers and empowers wireless subscribers. The application is simple and intuitive in design, but behind the elegant interface is our patented privacy management platform and our robust carrier-approved policies that fully embrace consent, notification, and control in location-based services."
