LTE: Sweden and Denmark: ZTE wins ‘first’ TDD/FDD dual-mode deal for LTE

WorldWideTech & Science. Francisco De Jesús.

ZTE has won a deal at Nordic operator Hi3G to provide equipment for what it claims is “the world’s first LTE TDD/FDD dual-mode network."

The operator will deploy the network in Sweden and Denmark starting later this year. Although most global LTE networks will be rolled out in FDD spectrum bands, Hi3G also owns some TDD spectrum (50MHz in Sweden and 25MHz in Denmark), on top of its FDD spectrum.
