2011 International CTIA Wireless Show
Panel Will Address the Role of Tiered Pricing as Operators Migrate to LTE
Tekelec the broadband solutions provider, is a gold sponsor and presenter at the FierceWireless “The Path to 4G” executive summit at the 2011 International CTIA Wireless Show. Randy Fuller, director of strategic marketing, will join the panel session “Monetizing 4G Networks” on March 22 from 2:15-3:00 p.m. The session is located at Orange County Convention Center , South Hall, room S330 G-H.
The panel, moderated by Philip Marshall, Ph.D., chief research officer at Tolaga Research, will address:
- What types of pricing scenarios are emerging as operators migrate to 4G?
- Will tiered pricing or unlimited data pricing dominate in the 4G world?
- What are the various options to creatively bundle and price services to attract more customers and achieve higher ARPUs?
- How can operators communicate to consumers the bandwidth they are using and its value?
Tekelec recently identified innovative win-win pricing plans in its research on mobile video pricing with Strategy Analytics. Key findings included that nearly half of subscribers would pay an additional $5/month for unlimited browsing that includes video limits, and that subscribers desire more segmented plans that better fit their usage preferences.
Tekelec’s policy management solutions reach 44 service providers – including 32 tier-one operators – across 27 countries, where the company is collaborating with customers to create revenue-generating offers and improve the subscriber experience. Earlier this month, research and consultancy firm Analysys Mason named Tekelec the “leading independent software vendor in the policy management segment” for two consecutive years, measured by global market share. Customers include multiple Vodafone and Telefónica properties, the Verizon Wireless LTE network, the Verizon FIOS network, Comcast and Cox.
