IDF2011: Intel shows Next Generation Ivy Bridge Processors to Support 4K Screen Resolution.

WorldWide Tech & Science. Francisco De Jesús.

Intel is preparing for the release of their next generation Ivy Bridge processor which we should be seeing hit the streets in 2012. As expected Ivy Bridge is faster and smaller than Sandybridge which is found in the 2nd generation Core i series of chipsets.

At IDF 2011 last week there were a few details revealed that were very impressive.

The upcoming architecture’s GPU available in will support resolutions just about of 4K, the maximum screen resolution will be 4,096 x 4,096 which is a sizable jump from the WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) limitation of the current Sandy Bridge processors.
