The Problem

Throughout the western world local authorities are facing an uphill battle dealing with the increasing amounts of dog droppings on sidewalks, parks, lawns etc.


 The United States alone accounts for more than ten billion tons of dog excrement. Unfortunately it is known that most dog owners do not collect after their dogs’ droppings, leaving them strewn on the sidewalks despite the far-reaching laws and the fines imposed. 
 
Beyond the aesthetics of the matter, the smell and the filth, the central problem of dog droppings is in the areas of public health and quality of the environment. Dog excrement is one of the central causes of coliform bacteria entering the municipal water system and thereby causing contamination of the underground water. A large amount of dog waste is swept into and permeates the municipal water system and the ground water. It is a well known fact that dog waste contains the eggs of the Toxocara parasite. These eggs enter the ground and when they come in contact with human beings they can cause Toxocariasis infection 
 
Please remember – when we do collect dog's dropping, doesn’t matter how, as a matter of fact, what we do is just moving the nuisance to another place without any treatment!!!              

Existing Methods

The most wide spread method employed by dog owners is to collect the dog waste in a simple nylon / plastic bag and then discard the bag in the nearest trash bin. This method in itself creates an ecological problem since most of the plastic bags being used are not 100% bio-degradable and are themselves garbage. In addition, this method causes the accumulation of a great deal of dog excrement in the trash bins which turns them into sources of pollution. 
 
There are various devices for collecting dog waste by their owners which do not offer a comprehensive answer to the problem and for this reason not one of them has become a pet market staple. The existing devices do not collect all the waste, or they are awkward and heavy, or not easy to use and to carry, and in fact all of them pass on the problem to the trash bin and create a new pollution problem. 
 
There is no solution in the world today which enables dog owners or local authorities to deal with the dog droppings in a proper way and which offers a solution and not the creation of a new ecological problem.

 Before walkies, simply insert a cartridge containing the special AshPoopie capsules into your handy AshPoopie wand. 


When your dog poos, just press a button on the device and the arm of the AshPoopie opens and extends over the poop. Press the second button and the poop is scooped up. A capsule is then released from the cartridge and mixes with the poop at high speed. In less than a minute, your dog’s smelly mess has been transformed into odorless, harmless ash. 


 You can now safely dispose of the 100% sterile ash and retract the AshPoopie to its standard size making it easy to carry. The AshPoopie doesn’t need cleaning or require any special maintenance and is now ready for the next time that your dog poos
