The award ceremony for the CEATEC JAPAN Innovation Awards
"As Selected by U.S. Journalists", which is comprised of an independent advisory panel of U.S. IT journalists who select significant technologies and concepts, was held on October 6th during CEATEC JAPAN 2011 held at Makuhari Messe.
Nominations were selected from products, concepts, technologies and services exhibited at CEATEC JAPAN 2011, as well as exhibitors who submitted their entries for the award prior to the show. The journalists carefully reviewed the nominations focusing on potential influence on the American market, capability of meeting latent demand, functionality and innovativeness, as well as the ability to provide unique solutions to emerging needs.
Between Oct. 4th and 6th, the panel of judges went around the venue to view booths and carefully selected products, technologies, and/or services in each category.
