Want the Dell Streak but without the entanglements of a service contract? Today is your lucky day as the compact tablet is being sold unlocked.

As posted to Dell's US online store, consumers will see 16GB and 32GB version with Android 2.2 in carbon black for US$579.99 and US$678.99 respectively.

Furthermore, Dell has added a new color option: Cherry red. However, if you want the US$299.99 price, that requires a two-year contract with AT&T. Otherwise, freedom for this rosy Dell Streak costs US$549.99.

Unfortunately, you can’t get your hands on any of these immediately as they won’t ship until December 8. But you can get your pre-orders in now.
