Mobileburn received an odd package in the mail yesterday that seems to hint at a new HTC smartphone being shown at CES in Las Vegas next month. It was sent by Waggener Edstrom, the PR firm that represents HTC and T-Mobile USA.
The clues, all shown in the photo above, are listed out below:
1. Android figure
2. Compass keychain
3. Four "G" buttons attached to the keychain
4. Foam TV set
5. "Froyo Lover" sticker
6. Video Chat screen shot showing Las Vegas
2. Compass keychain
3. Four "G" buttons attached to the keychain
4. Foam TV set
5. "Froyo Lover" sticker
6. Video Chat screen shot showing Las Vegas
Maybe a 4G Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone by HTC with navigation, TV viewing, and video chat will be shown at CES in Las Vegas next month.
Since neither HTC nor T-Mobile USA were specifically mentioned in the package, Mobilerun can't really be sure who sent it. Mobilerun do note that the hand-drawn look of the font used for the "G" buttons is similar to others used by HTC in its current "You" media campaign, but that could just be T-Mobile hinting that HTC would be building the new device for them. On the other hand, this could be coming on behalf of HTC and be about a new 4G device for Verizon or Sprint, too. Who knows.
