Yahoo announced a global partnership with chipmaker MediaTek, intended to help the Internet services giant expand its presence in the mobile market.
Telecompaper said the deal will see Yahoo services pre-integrated with MediaTek powered products, with a focus on products for emerging markets. It is apparently the first time Yahoo has partnered globally with a silicon vendor.
