Vodafone Australia has begun selling the BlackBerry Torch 9800. The operator offers the device for free on a AUD 79 per month cap plan which includes unlimited national calls and SMS messages and 2 GB of data. The smartphone combines a Blackberry keyboard with a full touch screen experience and features the new Blackberry 6.
The Blackberry Torch features a large touch screen and optical trackpad with a backlit slide-out Blackberry keyboard. It supports the latest generation in Wi-Fi (b/g/n) connectivity, and a 5 megapixel camera. In addition, it comes with a combined 8 GB of media storage, and includes a microSD/SDHD memory card slot for up to 36 GB of total storage memory.
