Innovation: Mitsubishi Releases a New Product Line for Satellite Digital Radio Transistor

WorldWideTech & Science. Francisco De Jesús.

Mitsubishi Electric Corp. introduced two new models of transistors that will be deployed in satellite digital radio reception systems in automobiles, Mitsubishi announced Dec. 10.

The reception systems of satellite digital radios include low-noise amplifiers that are composed of two or three stages. The new components can be used in the second or third stages of low noise amplifiers  for L- to C-band applications. Mistubishi Electric will begin shipping the transistors in February next year.

Mitsubishi also will launch transistors featuring high-power characteristics within the same product line. These amplifiers would offer enhanced performance when used in conjunction with the company’s low-noise, gallium arsenide, high-electron mobility transistor, the company said.
