Docomo to unlock new devicesJapanese operator NTT Docomo said that “customers may request to have the SIM lock capability removed in principle from any Docomo wireless device newly marketed on or after 1 April 2011.”
The company also said it will begin sales of SIM cards separately from devices, from customers either wanting to use a handset from elsewhere or with multiple Docomo accounts.
