Sprint Nextel said it has been “approved” as a member of Ceres Network, a US national coalition of public interest groups which help companies address sustainability challenges.
The operator said it is the first telecoms company to join the network, which is made of companies committing to “continual improvement of their sustainability disclosure and performance by engaging with investors, environmental groups and other stakeholders.”
