HP employees liked the TouchPad so much that about 300,000 of them caused the company's site to crash after the company open its own internal sale.
For one day, HP decided to offer its TouchPad Tablet to their employees to sell out the remaining inventory.
It's unclear how many TouchPads were sold but a lot of them didn't have the luck to get one.
All HP stores was swamped by several thousands of its employees, which caused the site to crash because of the burden placed on it. Employees who tried to make their purchase online ended up experiencing slow connections and a much slower response times.
Some HP employees claimed they were still hoping to get a piece of the device because they haven't received a company email stating that they're already sold out.

Francisco, get a clue. It was only US employees and there sure as h*ll aren't 300K of those left any more, plus the 32GB model was in stock for several days.
ReplyDeleteThe story's sad enough without you making up foolish BS about it.
I see, thanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't for one day but 3. While the 16 GB model was sold out in a day the 32 GB model was up for sale until Friday for employees, so yes they did have the luck to get one they just didn't want to spend an extra 50 dollars.
ReplyDeleteThis report is just a crap load of fail...
Was the only source avaliable around the web and even on google news.
