On the retail box leaked in January 12th, the specifications of the rear camera for the Galaxy S9 are Super Speed Dual Pixel 12 MP OIS (F1.5/F2.4) and this leak adds AUTO-FOCUS and the 3-stack FRS module means it will allow recording 1080p videos at 480 fps. That technically means that it can capture 720p videos at 1000 fps. Slow-motion will be then a feature on the Galaxy S9.
The new ISOCELL sensor detailed on Samsung’s website also has Super PD or Supper Phase Detection autofocus. The new feature should result in even better autofocus speeds even in low-lighting conditions.
The ISOCELL Bright`s Tetracell technology will improve light sensitive in low-conditions by merging 4 neighboring pixels to work as one big pixel. The Smart WDR feature permits multiple exposures in a single shot, resulting in greater detail for both bright and dark areas.
Also the ISOCELL Dual provides unique versatile for dual cameras including Optical Zoom, LLS (low light shooting) and Depth sensing for Out focusing effects. ISOCELL Dual also enables DSLR like photo experiences such as a greater light sensitivity, depth effects and sharper brightness in all conditions.
