Chart: Worlds biggest handsets makers in Q3.Units sold and Growth.

WorldWideTech. Francisco De Jesús.

Analysis of the 10 world biggest handsets makers in Q3 2010 and compared with 2009.

Observing the chart we cannot say clearly who is making profits or not, a sales price and a cost price will be needed for it.

However the numbers can tell us, how is the competition going in the phone business worldwide.

Units sold between 2Q-3Q 2010:
Nokia is losing share with -700.000 units, Samsung speed up with +7,6 millions units, LG losses with - 2,2 millions units, Apple boosting to  +6 millions unit, Blackberry as well with +4,1 millions,
Sony Ericcson with -700.000 devices, ZTE  with zero sales up in the same period., Motorola  increased a little with  +800.000 units, Huawei  with a small  +200.000 units, and HTC  speeds up with + 1,4 millions.

Samsung is the clear winner, followed by Apple and Blackberry.

Units Sold in 3Q 2010:
Nokia despite the negative number for the  period 2Q-3Q 2010 ,stills worldwide number one with 110,4 millions units, followed by Samsung, LG, Apple, Blackberry, Sony Ericcson, ZTE, Motorola, Huawei and HTC as you can see on the chart above.

Who is growing ? 3Q-09/3Q-10

HTC with an stunning 142,90%, Apple with a 90,50%, Huawei with a 76,90% for me a surprise, Blackberry 44,70%, ZTE  with 22,20%,  Samsung with 18,60%. and Nokia with just 1,8%.

Negative Numbers for Motorola with - 34,10%, Sony Ericcson with - 20,60% and LG with -10,10%

The battle is not ended yet for this year, the holidays are coming and the numbers will change or still  with the 4Q 2010 results, then we will have a clear winner for this 2010, stay tuned.
