10 million + iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sold in 3 days, says Apple.


              Opening weekend sales of Apple's newest iPhones were 11% greater than in 2013.

Despite the shortage because the new sizes and design of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus,that takes a very hard work on re-conditioning the prodution lines, Apple and its team have sold 10 million + units in 3 days, September 19, 20 and 21, Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively.

"While our team managed the manufacturing ramp better than ever before, we could have sold many more iPhones with greater supply and we are working hard to fill orders as quickly as possible.” said Tim Cook Apple`s CEO in a statement.

From 2008 to 2014 the iPhones new models have been sold in 3 days from  1 million to 10 million + Compared with the 5S and 5C in a  3 days weekend, it is a 11% increase in units sold.

“Sales for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus exceeded our expectations for the launch weekend, and we couldn’t be happier,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. 

“We would like to thank all of our customers for making this our best launch ever, shattering all previous sell-through records by a large margin.

The iPhones are available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and the UK and will be available in more than 20 additional countries on September 26. 

The new phones will be available in 115 countries by the end of the year.
